QUOTE(zXJaMeSXz @ Sep 21 2010, 02:39 PM) Hey guys.... Started pool this year... Any nice place to play it? I usually play at rack or Fireball @Cheras... Fireball used to be a nice place to play pool. but not anymore. go to golden break at Mentari Sunway. Better table and is using Simonis cloth. And not to mention many kakis to play with.

Stance could be the problem. but i think it could be your strokes and also your mental, coz u keep thinking about it. lol i used to hv the same problem. an effective tranning drill for me is draw shot. i pot few balls using draw shot. it supposingly straigthen and trains your confidence in your strokes. try it. it may work for you as well.

QUOTE(singdreams @ Oct 6 2011, 08:15 AM) side abit hard, prefer follow ball safer that really depends on whether you are refering to snooker or pool. In pool side spin is a must to get better positioning. is not that hard depending on how much spin is needed. This post has been edited by tancth: Oct 6 2011, 08:20 AM

QUOTE(HeiShou @ Oct 6 2011, 11:57 PM) side spin laa >_< if poke there then the cue ball will not go in a straight line right? that is called deflection. when you apply side spin, the cue ball will move slightly to the left / right depending on which side spin you put. that's why it's important to aim more when you apply spin to pot the object ball. when you apply extreme side, then you will have to aim even more than usual. in pool, a good cue with good shaft will help players to adjust to the ball deflection. that means players do not have to aim so much to pot the ball, hence less mistake. Cue like Predator with 314 shaft. hope this helps....

QUOTE(IcyDarling @ Nov 12 2011, 11:12 PM) hey guys! got a question here. when i use the closed bridge, it doesn't seem steady at all. If we are trying to hit the middle or top of the ball, we have to raise the lsat 3 fingers supporting the bridge right? Problem for me is, it's shaky when i stroke, is this suppose to happen? If not, what are the solutions to this? my closed bridge is thumb and index finger looping over the cue, and the lsat 3 fingers are used as a stand. sometimes the 4th finger i bend it a little and rest it on the table at the "middle part" of the finger the problem maybe your stroke. try hitting some simple shots like potting a straight shot in the middle pocket. make sure you pot both object ball and cue ball. do this many times or hundred times if you need to to familarize yourself with closed bridge. hope this helps.
