billiard and pool cues are different..
billiard ones are thinner compared to pool cues,
but then, maybe u can try snooker cue in pool and see if that suits u..hehe..
for a good pool cue, can go up to a few hundreds, last time i saw a normal one is around 400+, im sure there are better and more expensive ones..

@blaxez: if i can pot all balls in one turn, i would've represented malaysia..tongue.gif
it's just my dream for now  sweat.gif

any m'sian players here?
*
i know the cues aew different....
i just wanna know if i CAN use the same cue or not...
is it against the rule or not....

One turn all balls are very great....but what i think BLAXEZ means by one cue is pocketing all the balls one by one....

what do u mean by normal pool games?
in pool, there's only 8 ball and 9 ball..
8 ball, it's when u are either on solids or stripes, no need to follow any sequence and win by pocketing the 8 ball as the last ball..
um, actually 8 ball is the most basic one,
surprised u didnt know..
maybe thats what u call normal pool games for u?
*
only 8 ball and 9 ball? there are other games u know..
i played 7 & 10 ball, not forgetting straight pool and 1 pocket.
the fact is there are plenty of pool games u can play compared to snooker
jutz my 2 cents

7 Ball rules.
http://www.bestbilliard.com/rules/display.cfm?file=seven.cfm
Basically in this game, balls from number 1-7 is used. It is arranged such that it looks like the arrangement of the game Carrom. To win the game, you must pocket the 7-ball and name the pocket which your gonna masukkan the 7-ball.

10-Ball is nearly the same as 9-Ball except 10 balls is used and the arrangement of the ball is similiar to ten pin bowling.

Straight pool is a bit hard to explain. Here are some links to help you out.

http://www.easypooltutor.com/article102.html

If you wanna be good at pool, practise more straight pool. It helps a lot. thumbup.gif

I was really into it when i was a kid. Now i am planning to invest in that sport.

For some reason when a whole bunch of friends of mine started playing, i lost interest. The only way i will feel satisfied, is if I can play damn terror like Efren Reyes .. hehe.. and those other pool fella's =P

Need the time and the transport.
