lol i did mention previous page that i did managed to do MBB BT, maybank amex to be exact. amex also applicable for the 12 months 0%.

they will divide ur BT into equal 12 months payment. if u dont pay full, will carry forward as ur outstanding. PBB BT also works the same.

and no separate account will be created as well.

how come I miss that doh.gif How long did the process take?
yes you will get separate BT account for each application/approval (each application can do several BT from different banks).
*
my chronology below:
- 1st day submit application
- 4th day call them, say approved already
- ~10th day maybank2u already updated the transaction
- ~14th day the other bank receive maybank's payment

so i guess maybank are very efficient. thumbup.gif

thanks for the info, from above I assume you only called on the 10th day to check if payment made. Payment could have been made earlier right. Did you call the other bank on the 10th day to check or only only call on the 14th day?

If payment took 14 days to reach the other bank, it is kind of tight as usually I get my statments a week after the Statement date by mail and that leaves me less than 2 weeks before the Due Date, unless they do not need the latest statement. Direct Access usually make payment within a week so no need to worry about payment being made after due date.
*
not sure until that detail n i didnt call the other bank. it is stated on the monthly statement. so i believed, it is shorter because need time to clear the cheque also.

QUOTE(jasontoh @ Dec 20 2010, 08:31 PM)
Did Maybank create another account for the 12 month 0% BT or we cannot use the card anymore after we BT?
*
no new account, n the instalment will be part of ur outstanding.

for example if ur outstanding for the month is 1k.

n assume u BT RM2400 for 12 months,

1st month BT: 1000 + 200

so ur total outstanding becomes 1200. it becomes part of ur acc already.

Hey guys, on top of the CashTreats, I disovered a better deal than CashTreats called EzyCash for Maybank:

Fees:

Fees & Charges

1. 0 % Interest Rate with 6 months installment.
2. One Time Cash Advance Fee of 3.88% will be charged on the amount approved. The fee will be billed to the credit card account following the crediting of the monies. Applicable to every approved Maybank EzyCash application.

sounds good, just like taking personal loan. or even like those ezypay instalment plan, but instead of money goes to merchant, money goes to u. hmm.gif

question on behalf of my sis-in-law.

she have maybank visa petronas.
and she just get her maybankard2 amex + mastercard.

can she BT visa petronas outstanding to mbb2 amex?
*
i dont think so can BT, but she can 'transfer' all the outstanding from visa petronas to maybank2 by calling CS. i believed 1 of the forumer here did before.

You need to pay the monthly re-payment... Not 5% minimum.

Assume you BT RM12000 to MBB, each month you need to pay RM1000 PER MONTH.
Failure to pay the RM1000, you will be subjected to the Special Profit Charge (aka 17.5% p.a.) on the remaining balance... this where Maybank suck your blood
*
i think this has been in place since few years i have been doing BT with maybank. cant really fight CIMB 0%.

even OCBC 0% also, u need to pay ur retail in full, then the BT wont be charged with interest.

I am a bit regretted BT to OCBC. Their banking system is lousy. I paid full every month but still get charge for the BT interest. Have to call up to reverse out the interest. I am planning to BT out from OCBC to MBB. Save the hassle of calling them.
*
yup, the down side of ocbc is u need to call them to reverse each time receive statement, because their system is not smart enough to detect whether the balance is from BT or from retail.

3rd time doing BT with maybank to reduce some interest from OCBC to maybank2 amex.

27th july - email BT form to mbbcardservices@maybank.com.my
1st august - reply email from CS acknowledge receipt
4th august - OCBC account credited with the payment from maybank
11th august - still no updates of the BT payment in m2u???

IIRC, all previous BT, m2u will show first the transaction; before the other bank even receive the payment. unsure.gif

did u do a BT from OCBC to Maybank 2's amex or from Maybank 2's amex to OCBC? cos when i spoke to a staff at their Seapark PJ branch 2 days ago, i was told that the Maybank 2s cannot use for BT.
*
BT from OCBC to maybank2 amex. but OCBC statement already showed they receive the money from maybank, but maybank no transaction shown yet they disburse the money out. tongue.gif
