First time paying for my CIMB 0% 6-month BT, need advice.
So I just need to pay the amount in the Minimum Payment field of the BT statement, which work out to be 5% of the BT ?
Normally if it is a credit card statement paying just the "Minimum Payment" will incur an interest on the unpaid balance.

QUOTE(chemistry @ Dec 13 2011, 02:15 PM) Yes, just pay that minimum amount. Reminder: Count the months, so that you know you gotta make full settlement when you receive 6th statement. Bank won't tell you 'This is 6th month, pls make full payment'. Thanks. Already program into Phone the final payment reminder.

So looks like faxing in BT application is better than submiting it thru their branch.

QUOTE(ronnie @ Dec 27 2011, 02:43 AM) My MBB Balance Transfer (from CIMB BT account to MBB BT 12-month 0%) was paid to CIMB on 23 Dec 2011 Application appear in their MBB system on 21 Dec 2011. I submitted the printout from CIMBClicks. Removed the "NCE TRANSFER" and "00/00 Expiry Date" as per advice. If MBB decides to extend their 0% 12-month BT program, I will continue to "earn free cash" By removing the "NCE TRANSFER" and "00/00 Expiry Date" and submitting it for BT application, would it be considered fraud?

QUOTE(ronnie @ Dec 27 2011, 11:34 AM) Why is that a fraud ? The CIMB CC has my full name. May I know what is your reason for removing the "NCE TRANSFER" and "00/00 Expiry Date" instead of submitting the actual statement ?

QUOTE(ronnie @ Dec 27 2011, 11:23 PM) To avoid MBB from rejecting BT from a BT account You mean MBB might reject it due to amount being a BT from another bank? No wonder, you .......... Anyway good luck. This post has been edited by MGM: Dec 28 2011, 09:25 AM

Enquired at the Maybank Branch @ Subang Airport about MBB 0% 12-month BT promo and was told that MBB has extended the promo. Then later at my office I called 1800-881801 to reconfirm but the CS denied that there is any extension. Shiok for a moment. Another imcompetent bank staff.

QUOTE(ronnie @ Jan 16 2012, 01:01 PM) I've just submitted a CIMB BT application this morning. I wonder will CIMB approve the 0% 6-month BT application after the expiry date (31 Dec 2011) I like your 'die-hard' attitude.

Need advice:
Say my MBB Amex statement balance on 3/3/12 is rm900. but the current balance is RM3000 (8/3/12) (inc. statement bal of rm900). Can I still do a BT to Citibank by phone (only need to provide acc# and amount) for the amount of RM3000 instead of RM900. Due date to pay MBB is 23/3/12.

QUOTE(ronnie @ Mar 9 2012, 12:43 PM) Care to share which bank's 0% BT are you referring to ? He is refering to CitiBank 0% BT. After knowing his experience, I decided not to do the CitiBank 0% BT. Too much unnecessary worries.
