Umm video recording being affected is only for the BIGMEM versions. There are 4 versions altogether:

1GHz
1GHz BIGMEM
1.2GHz
1.2GHz BIGMEM

the non-bigmem ones won't break 720p recording.
*
oh.. ty then..
does the bigmem and non-bigmem really diff?

thx biggrin.gif

QUOTE(pikachu01 @ Sep 18 2011, 09:40 AM)
Yeah, you can configure ZRAM/Swap using my MemoryFreak settings in my sig. Also check out Zach's scripts which I've modified to work well with Talon. You can see the before/after of the script if you try to use Talon for a few days then flash the script. It's a really big difference smile.gif
*
thanks.. will try the Zach's later.. biggrin.gif

You can check a few files that are changed in the script. E.g.

/proc/sys/vm/vfs_cache_pressure

Just do a:

CODE

su
cat /proc/sys/vm/vfs_cache_pressure

The value should be 20. Some other ones like /proc/sys/vm/dirty_background_ratio should be 55 and so on. Look at the scripts. See what it's doing smile.gif
*
checked.. good to go.. biggrin.gif
will observe for a few days.. thanks happy.gif
but.. oledi feel some improvement.. hehe..

QUOTE(cradle0fFilth @ Sep 20 2011, 10:50 PM)
ken and pikachu,

before i flash talon and apply pikachu's modded zach script, should i delete all the scripts in my init.d folders?

i am using simplicity 0.4 (and kernel semaphore 1.6v that comes with it). currently there are 3 scripts:
- 01acidext4tweak
- 99suoercharger
- enable_netfilter

should i?

thanks brah
*
QUOTE(pikachu01 @ Sep 20 2011, 11:00 PM)
Delete supercharger (because Talon has its own LMK method to set it) and delete acidext4tweak. It promotes unsafe mounts.
*
oh.. the other also effect?
i'm still using simplicity 0.3.. inside init.d folder.. i got this

77sdcardspeedfix
99supercharger (just delete after read ur post just now)
enable_netfilter
S98screenstate_scaling (hehe..)
S98system_tweak (hehe..)
S_loopy_smoothness_tweak

any other else to delete? biggrin.gif

i'm still on simplicity 0.3..
using talon since last two days with pikachu01 memoryfreak setting + platypus script.. smooth.. that what i can say..

but after being used for a long time i figure out it become a lil heavy.. sometimes my free rams reached 20mb ti 30mb only?

already delete some file inside init.d as discussed in previous page.. any suggestion? or talon not really compatible with simplicity 0.3? or my apps + games too many?

Added on September 21, 2011, 11:09 pmhaven't applied the Acid tweak & Journaling yet..

free is a binary file in system/xbin. Check for that file. If you don't have that file, you probably have a bad flash. Try flashing through CWM. You're using Talon right? SGS Kernel Flasher sometimes don't work well.
*
just flashed to latest Talon Dev 0.1.5.2-1000..
still the same.. can't use the "free" command on TE..

You can try:
CODE

umount /cache
mkdir /sdcard/cache
mount /sdcard/cache /cache

Not sure if it's the right syntax, but it should work.
