dude, you can update to latest GB rom for official you can try dxjv9.

1. flash to any GB rom (XXJVQ at here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1011901) remember choose the one with botloader.
2. flash a custom kernel ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1112908 )
3. download latest nightly ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1061946 ) copy it into your phone and flash in recovery.

the developer had stop using sgs so flash on your own risk.(but i should be no problem)

have to see his rom. if he is on cm7 or miui kies doesnt work. kies are same i use galaxy ace kies before.

first of all. welcome to android! actually its very easy all you need is GUTS! if you wanna flash custom rom, read more and google or ask for things that you are not understand. try to search first, if really cant understand then only ask. be a smart user. all i can say ,we androidian customize whatever we like on our smart phone. from the most basic rom>kernel>modem>themes or you can even cook a rom in kitchen. try to search what i am talking about. hahaha. have fun with android!

dude, wifi signal in GB of SGS really a lil bit weak. just accept the fact or you can flash froyo modem on GB rom. its on first page.

actually milky not bad. but dont use milkys core change it to talon. with milky kernel my battery finish in 2.5 hours. some more hang 3 times in 2hour. maybe i use it too heavy. can try simplicity too. i wanna try it soon.

i never had problem with that after i use "dont kill home". the black screen that you had mention is it launcher keep restart? if yes just install "dont kill home" its on first page.

no la saja wanna try those custom roms. dont want to be outdated ma. haha. 2 week to try out a few rom then go back to cm7 again.hehe. dont worry, he still can guide you. he just passed his phone to his wife not sold it.

try wait for 20min if still the same just pull out battery, hold volume up+home button+power key go into recovey and factory reset an wipe cache then restart again see can start or not. the worst case, flash rom with odin again.

no need to revert, just flash like normal custom rom. www.miui.us

which rom are you on now? to root simply flash a custom kernel will root your phone. as simple as that.

just go into recovery>voodoo control> disable lagfix and system lagfix off>then reboot. after that you will go back RFS. then you can flash any kernel you like.

or
ypu can open voodoo apps >lagfix preferences>untick ext4 convertion and reboot.

for GB just flash a kernel like speedmod then download latest nightly and flash in recovey. its on first page. 3rd or 4th post

why still flashing speedmod when you already on custom rom with custom kernel? if you already on juwe just copy the nightly into sdcard and flash in recovery. before flash make a factory reset.

Added on August 28, 2011, 11:24 amdid you straight away flash milkys1.3 then talon? and which version of talon you flash? this is what i did and i cant bootup my phone hang at S there for 20min and cant even go into recovery. milkyS1.2>milkyS1.3>talon 0.4.3. so i have to reflash everything from stock rom. remember disable lagfix before go to talon. or else you will be like me need to reflash everything.

milkys dont have over scroll effect.

yes i am talking about the firmware. of cause this is alright. ohya if kies cannot detect you phone, go into setting>application>developers>untick usb debug.

o. go to first page download the drive and install. after that your pc can detect your phone.

changing kernel will not wipe your data. of cause you can change your kernel with using stock rom.

OT: how much is the market price for ipod nano 6th generation? i mean the cheapest.

why uninstall the driver? if you need i9000 to connect to your pc just install driver from first page.
agree with the random reboot. after using for 2 days, batery life is ok it can last like 24 hours for me with moderate usage after flash to talon. speed is good, quite fast for custom rom, but i still can see feel a little bit lag maybe i used to cm7 . lockscreen wallpaper cannot be change, no overscroll effect but i feel its fair and good to exchange those with speed.it can run tw4.5 with total 10widgets in 5pages on destop smoothly. consider not bad but not stable enough for daily use. at least 2-3 tmes hang and reboot per day.

cant compare it with cm7 not fair lo. haha. my next rom simplicity>surface>criskelo>juwe>cm7.

guys comparing galaxian and talon which one better on simplicity? its like rfs vs ext4. can you guys share me some wallpaper with vibrant color? LOL. running out of wallpaper.
