ElinROM has fewer modifications compared to Simplicity. I stuck with Simplicity 0.31 all the way from last month as I saw that d0ggy kept adding stuff into his ROM and breaking a few things along the way. I prefer something more stock-like but with necessary modifications. Most of what I need are added by $omator's stock+ anyways

If factory reset in recovery...doesnt it wipe the internal sd as well as in all my files.

I think I found out what would cause memory leaks at the end of the day.

Solves this problem, it's due to vfs_cache_pressure being too low and dirty_ratio being too high.

With that, I've updated the system_tweak yet again, with this knowledge by making the VM settings more aggressive, which will trigger the memory leak faster. I made this so, as there's a workaround to clear the caches when it gets full.

Having a low vfs_cache_pressure and a high dirty_ratio will save battery and make your device perform faster at the cost of higher RAM usage.

I thought MIUI can use kernel for cm7 also. but always better check from the kernel thread if it is compatible
- those DXJV9/JVR/JVS are samsung's ROM. heavily customized touchwiz-laden rom
- cyanogenmod7 is directly from AOSP, and then awesomeness-added. cm7 is still not without its problem. see first page.

- Since rom are different, kernels for samsung rom and cm7 are not interchangeable.

Haha..i hit battery drain issue also after intsalled some apps. Maybe you guys use this before?

1. ZDbox - tools use to kill apps and move apps to SD etc etc
2. talkbox - no need to say, everyone knows
3. Dingul keyboard 2.1version- i would say very nice keyboard, though is korean version, but the qwerty keyboard is very very easy to use, no need to change to symbol page just to type symbol, no need to press longer to type symbol/number, just swype...
4. Google map version 0.5.9 with voice navigation...

I lazy to delete and try one by one to see which app actually causing battery drain. Last night, i slept around 12, 50%, this morning, left 20% with DATA on, but normally only few % dropped.

Check out ElinRom Odexed. Not getting any problems so far as it's the least modified odexed ROM I found.

Edit: Oh and guys, I always remove useless system apps after every flash. You should do that too (or freeze them using System Tuner)

Hmm, I would need to prepare a list of apps I disable. Let me compile it and post it in XDA. I use BetterBatteryStats to show me what's draining the battery.

I use system panel as well. Installed betterbatterystats last night and below are 2 screenshots after i woke up. Battery drained 28%, almost 30% similar to yesterday case, after i uninstall few apps.
