Hello...,
MIUI on SGS2 (MIUI Android variant).... Here are a few screenshots after two days using it.
Beware, this ROM is not for the faint hearted people. You need to graduate from CF-Root, Lightenin, Villian, Nimpo, SpeedMod, Batista, LeoMar classes before even venturing into MIUI or CM7 or any other AOSP roms.Thing that does not work or not available at the moment...
1. No 3G Video Call
2. Bluetooth won't save settings and pairing records
3. Not so smooth Full HD video play (This is a really high def video, something like DIVX HD standard. Others are ok)
4. Data connection has to be manually activated on every reboot
5. No Samsung craps...
6. MIUI was derived from CM7 source and kernel thus it will inherit some CM7 bugs although the kernel was tweak by bmarko himself.
7. Some hiccups on media scanning, Music player will list the songs after couple of scanning process
8. File Explorer quit of following your instructions, can't rename, can't delete etc. (happened to me after first time flashed but was ok after few reboots).
9. External SD-Card is not shown in Storage and About page (so no management function available from phone UI), it can only accessible thru File Explorer. Apps will not use External SD unless it accept hard coded path or has some kind of scanning mechanism like Music player.
Pros
1. Very themeable ROM. Can change anything on the UI, lockscreen etc.
2. Torchlight application is a nice app (never like torchlight thou) coz it can switch on by pressing the home button on the lockscreen.
3. Nice UI transition and very well design.
4. Very well design camera interface (compare with other non-stock ROM), second only to stock.
5. Got Firewall program to control blacklist, data connection etc.
6. Ability to hide programs and Guest mode (if you wanted to do some demo), but I prefer if it comes with Incognito mode.
Cons
1. Default theme may look like iphonish.
2. There is no App Drawer in the launcher. The app was cluttered on the screen (iphone style with widgets), but a trick of folder management can bring the apps back to Android way of life or install other launcher.
3. Currently it drained 3% of batt juice hourly.
