Lol, tukar punya tukar, I arrive back at Xscope. Dolphin Lite was refusing to load some entire websites correctly. Miren is, well, a mess.

Oh well. Tahan je lah the battery hit.

Also, am I the only VillainRom stalwart left lol?
*
Try Opera Mobile.? But Xscope or Dolphin is more faster i think. Though by using Opera you can save a little bit in data since its compressed by Opera server first before it arrive to your phone :-)

I never liked OperaMobile's UI.

Nonetheless, I ALWAYS have it installed as backup on any mobile device, I just never use it as my primary browser (it's more for "backup" activities, if you catch my drift).

The best UI in my view? Firefox mobile, shame the core engine is crap by a large margin. I MEAN, what kind of app lags on a dual core device with 1GB RAM?

So, after trying Boat, Boat Lite, Galapagos, UCWeb, Skyfire, Dolphin HD, Dolphin Lite, Opera, Opera Mini, Miren, Angel, Netfront, ibibo, Firefox (stable, beta, nightly, aurora) and of course, Stock... I'm sticking with Xscope for now, with Opera Mobile/Stock as backup.
*
Yeah, i know what you mean. Me, i'm using stock browser since it's fast with hw acceleration.
BTW, is there anyway to stop the pop up that always come out asking which browser choice i want to execute whenever i'm using stock browser?

anyone using s2 on umobile or maxis?

i wanna know about the speed of hspa+ in malaysia...
*
I use both. But the truth is, it all depend on your location. At KL and JB, Umobile signal is strong. You can get good H/H+ for download and upload until your 500mb data quota up/finish then it will trottle down.
Maxis signal seems the best though at my place it is very erratic until at times i get only E signal. But like i said, all depend on location where you live/use it

just tick the default option? do it everytime you see and it'll gone eventually. it asks everytime cuz it has different type of page so thats why.

you must have odexed browser to have h/w acceleration. if not, it'll be the worst browser eva. stupid samsung framwork that relies on its browser for odexing the framework. some roms have the fix included. if you're using VR, you have to search for the browser odexer.
*
Me on custom roms? Nahh., not yet. Still haven't finish enjoying stock rom though i've upgrade to KG already.
BTW, upgrading stock rom means i still have hw acceleration., right?

Too many bugs that's why many update for patching. If good then 3 or 6 months once for updating is enough already :-P

*
Since you're on stock rom then i'm afraid no google maps auto update for our region. Most probably meant for europe and u.s region. You can still manually download it though i advice you just wait until google release the update through market. Nothing much different actually with all this updates :-)

Hmm..seems there may be a bug in batista. Was draining my battery just now for proper callibration..so I kept the 1080p video recording on..drained like 50% of the battery while doing that.

But when checking the battery usage stats..it shows display 65% and camera only 2%..weird.
*
Nothing weird about that if you checking through battery usage stats. It only using a percentage of 100% total. Try add your display % + camera % + whatever else that is there. You will find it gonna come to 100%. Right?

~~@ gingerman2408.
The battery usage stats is not accurate. If you want to find which apps that gobble up you batt juice then use android booster though i find this app is also not very accurate. I'm still looking for app that can accurately show data or graph of which app AND phone system that really gobble up our battery. :-)

not really sure, more concerned about wakelocks, if fon being used drain nvm, phone off still drain, now that's a problem. anyways u can try Android Assistant
*
Android Assistant is quite a usefull app though its graphic do need improvement. Looks like a kiddie apps :-) but it will do for now.

I got quite a lot of app that basically do the same thing (exp: traffic monitor and 3G watchdog). By using AA at least i know which of these two apps is using more juice. For this instance i found that traffic monitor is using 6.14% batt while 3G watchdog is only using 0.01% batt..!! So now i can happily uninstall traffic monitor and use only 3G watchdog instead.

I'm not really worried about battery drain. It's just good to know which/what app using how much the battery. That way i can uninstall many of my duplicate duties apps from my phone.
Thanks destEX

want to ask u guys..anyone using sensation rom..i jz changing from solarflare to sensation yesterday and do all the wipe..but the battry life really concerns me..drop over night from 85% to 17%..check on battry graph shows that my 'awake' bar always on and never stop..but on the 'screen on' bar there is on and off..really weird..anyone could help me..tanx..
*
Didn't use Sensation but since your awake bar always on while your screen on bar in off and on meaning there are activities going on (awake bar) while you're not using your phone (screen on).

Yea while on the bed last night I realise it should be due to me flashing the ninphetamine 2.05 kernel

and thanks waveweaver for your explanation on battery stats..I didn't expect the battery stats to be entirely accurate but I thought it was to some level..and FYI I was 'recording' mostly black visual when the camera was turned out (camera was facing towards the table, dunno if that saves display batt though), so the screen was mostly black
*
IMO as long as the screen is on then it's using battery, no matter if the screen is on black or full of colour though in colour/brighter surely gobble more battery :-)
Earlier i recommend Android Booster app for you to monitor app that using most of batt juice but later on destEX mentioned Android Assistant to me. And i found AA is much better and more accurate than AB. You can try it if you want to though its graphic is kind of ugly ~lol~
