1. Brand. (Samsung/Anything)

-anything that you suggest the best for me.I am an Android newbie and thinking of using an Android..now I'm using Sony Ericson J105i only..biggrin.gif
2. Budget. (below 1K)

-I have tight budget right now, thinking of S2......tongue.gif

3. Specs. (dunno)
-Dun have any idea
4. What you need in the phone (Good camera/good sound quality/durable)
-camera 3.2 mpx enough for me..I have DSLR..
-good video and sound quality
-facebook,twitter..
-not really on gaming stuff...

thinking to purchase one by the end of this year..my friend suggest to me that wait for iPhone 5...good enough?

I highly doubt you can get an iPhone 5 under 1k even if you get it under contract.Anyway,i suggest you have a look at the CSL MI410 ,it's only RM799 yet the specs are the same as the Samsung Galaxy SL.Stock CSL firmware is quite buggy but once you flash it to other firmwares it'll be really fast and smooth.

just wondering what are the differences between S, S Plus and SL?
i noticed the S Plus's processor is different than S and SL. which 1 operates faster? thanks.

S=Hummingbird SOC,SGX540 GPU,WM8994 DAC so it has the best sound quality and the highest GPU power among single core phones.Has great developer support.

SL=Qualcomm MSM8255 SOC,Adreno 205 GPU,SCLCD display,so-so developer support.Nothing outstanding about this phone

S Plus=Same as SL but the CPU is overclocked to 1.4GHz but still, nothing outstanding about the phone.

I'm planning to buy my first android phone. Please kindly recommend android phone with below guide....

1. Brand: Any Brands
2. Budget. 1300 - 1500
3. Specs. v2.3
4. What you need in the phone: fast n stable
TQ in advance... notworthy.gif

I recommend the Nexus S,it's a Nexus device which means stock android that's fast and fluid plus fast updates from Google. You don't have to install a custom ROM or anything,it's already blazing fast out of the box.

Added on September 18, 2011, 1:52 pmOne more thing, the build quality of the MI410 is awesome,i'd say it's even better than the Incredible S [Used both for quite a while].

so S is much better among those family?
some say S+ processor much slower. just want to know your opinion.

In day to day use the difference in clock speed of the S and S Plus shouldn't be really noticeable but overall the S is the best among those three. That said i am not sure whether the GPS on the S is still problematic or not on the current firmware.

Still,if i were you i'd get the Nexus S. icon_idea.gif

in term of shape, i'd prefer those S family. tongue.gif
anyway, is it google nexus S?
care to elaborate more why u guys chose nexus s?  hmm.gif

Nexus S over Galaxy S
-It's a nexus device which will receive updates the fastest [the main draw of it imo]
-Stock android that's fast and fluid
-It has a LED flash
-It has no GPS problems

Galaxy S over Nexus S
-Arguably better looking design
-Has a microSD slot

oh i get it.
on the other part, what's the difference between SAmoled and SLCD?
based on ur experience, which 1 better?
sorry for noob questions.  blush.gif

oh and gorilla glass?  rclxub.gif
*
SAMOLED has better contrast but the colours are too saturated and it uses a pentile subpixel arrangement which makes texts a bit more fuzzy compared to the traditional RGB subpixel arrangement on the SCLCD display.SAMOLED also uses more power.Based on that i'd take the SC-LCD display instead of SAMOLED.

About Gorilla Glass,it 'should' be scratch proof but the one on my Galaxy Tab last time was scratched anyway when i put it in my backpack blink.gif
