If you don't mind having a large screen, then Samsung Galaxy Note is the right choice for you. If you do, Samsung Galaxy S II would be an ideal alternative though it has a slightly lower specifications.

If you're looking for one with the latest Ice Cream Sandwich software, Samsung Galaxy Nexus is ideal for you. Do note that only AP sets are available at the moment for this model.

Also, you may want to have a look at HTC Sensation XE if you're not into plasticky Samsung phones.

Since you wish to use the phone as it is, I would strongly advise you to get the Galaxy Nexus for its swift software update.

Super AMOLED screen is better. Around RM600 - RM800 I think.

It's like a stock rom with further mods to make the phone perform better in all aspects. Some custom roms come with a modded theme as well.
