For your friend, I would suggest him to take nexus S. Highest chance among the 3 to get android 5.0 or so.

For your bro, ask him wait for the MCW and MWC event

MCW on 10 jan, MWC around feb I think. But MWC is the bigger event I guess

No news on it yet but even if got I think it will stop until ICS. Nexus S prob can reach until jelly bean and so on after that

I think directd still got stock, if not then try your luck by getting from maxis @ 799 no contract. But u have to be VERY lucky if u can get from maxis

Just ask in maxis centers, but im not sure that promo still on or not. U need to subscribe 1 dunno wat plan, but since no contract u can just sign for a month and then cancel it off the next

Galaxy mini is around/below 500, if u can wait...best is still go for xperia mini pro cuz girls also play some games right? Galaxy mini will lag a bit when playing some casual games, galaxy ace also lag a bit. Xperia Mini pro should be smooth in casual games
