Hi, I wanna buy a new phone but stuck between Samsung Galaxy S Plus and HTC Incredible S (or any other good phones around). Both the phone prices varies between RM100-200. My budget is abit tight let say RM1400-1500 (the lesser the better).

What i need in a phone is that it must have friendly UI, app friendly, touch screen sensitive. I seldom take pictures (even if i took i only took pictures of food lol). A front cam is a must coz i uses video call.

And i'm in a fix. Dont know which phone suits me. Much help would be appreciated ! Thank you !

P/S: Currently using Nokia C6-01. Its my first time using a Nokia and i had a bad experience. Not even 2 weeks after i bought it the loudspeaker went kaboom and i need to send it for repair n waited 3 weeks. So was hoping that i could get a better phone than that. No offence intended to Nokia fans >"<

hello guys... i need help in choosing a new android phone.

currently have my eyes on samsung s plus

1) budget below 1.5k

2) excellent gps performance (fast lock and stable)

does samsung s plus has this kind of gps feature?

thank you for helping
*
for ur info.
as for GPS fast lock.
i can say all phone can do that.
u just need to root it (gain access to gps.conf file)
then edit the server pool to malaysia pool.
then gps lock is very2 fast already ( less than a minute)

proven on Moto Defy, Huawei X5, CSL Mi300

i want to buy SAMSUNG GALAXY ACE.... what you all think about that phone?.. is it ok?
*
i hardly can suggest u take ACE if u really wanna use it for some time.
X5 is much better choice/ Desire S 2nd also great choice.

Slow is ok.. I just want good camera with less then 1k..

Btw both ace and mini also bad, camera.
So far I try my friend desire S, camera and LCD is greater than my Defy, and of course better then that lousy ace. Price from Ken 999. Happy hunting

guys, need your suggestion :

brand: any
budget: around rm 1k
specs: touchscreen, wifi, have good camera, have 3g camera.. plus gps..

currently eyeing samsung galaxy s plus ( rm13++) but slightly over my budget.. sad.gif
is there other model which is a bit cheaper and got quite same function with it?
thanks.
*
camera from HTC phone for me so far is better than from few player like lg and Huawei. Samsung not compare yet. GPS no problem. Just root it and edit GPS.conf. Can lock ultra fast

Need recommendation on value-for-money (cheap) android phone. 2nd hand also can consider;

1. Brand : Any
2. Budget : 300~500
3. Specs : value for money
4. Mainly for listening music & reading comic .cbr/.zip

at the moment using HTC Touch. Really slow, loading comic pages. Sigh.
*
so far i think only CSL Spice is the best in ur budget ( win against X8,Galaxy Mini)

Is it worthy to buy the AP version?
*
for me buying 2nd hand ori warranty is more worthy than AP. (AP depend on which shop u go.. good one is okay la)

Me too.  As long as the condition is very good, still has warranty, I'd rather go for ori 2nd-hand than AP.

BTW, that Desire S from Ken was sold.  It was a good deal.
*

one lucky owner. Sold already.

no...
he speaking of those 5800xm, n97 is using resistive touchscreen

androids all are capacitive ones...

capacitive is much more responsive than resistive
but in certain cases, resistive have advantage over capacitive..(i forgot wut)
*
yup.. thats the main different.

one of advantage of resistive is.. u can use that touch even in water.
as for capacitive.. once u got water on the screen.. it will create havoc when u wanna do something..
like defy capacitive.. put it in water and it wont register ur touch already. need to wipe it dry 1st
(means ..u cant snap picture in water lor. coz no physical camera button)

motorola defy is worth a try,but u have to install custom rom to get 2.3,it originally came with 2.2 now.
*
yup. just bought a 2nd defy ( old one.. still 2.1) now running 2.3 liquidArc very2 nicely @1Ghz..

most custom ROM out there (MIUI,CM7,LiquidArc) already running 2.3.
and stable also.i think ppl that use android will sooner or later wil try custom rom also
so for me..i dont really care bout wat version my phone coming from factory.
coz i just see if that certain phone got good review and support from developer.
(means faster version update than factory)
