What sets the Razr apart is the locked bootloader? Need to S-off the phone in order to root. Also they need time to program something for u to S-off your phone, so custom roms will only come later? Not sure can S-off with the XTC clip or not
Actually hard to say which 1 best bang for the buck, got pros and cons. Better go for which design u like and also whether u wanna root/play with custom roms or not. Also, u should have a look at the differences between galaxy S2 G version and non-G version in their official thread(1st pg)

Its build feels cheap? I also heard they say customer service not that good? Im not that sure

custom roms is like u errmm...install a custom rom of your choice according to your taste? Can do tweaks based on your taste, maybe can improve battery life also...overclock also can. Stock ROM usually can't customise too much, just homescreens...launchers...widgets all those. But there's a wee bit of chance that it might brick your phone if u made a mistake while flashing custom ROM. So if you're fine with the stock 1, there's no need to flash it. Anyway, i dun really know much about these stuff either...hopefully some sifus will help u in this. Perhaps ask this in android general questions thread?

Anyway, I think people say samsung is the best is just because it has now became a trend or something. I mean it's not exactly the best of the best. HTC's build quality is still better than samsung. It is a long story to tell actually, all phones got its ups & downs.

Here,

Samsung - Has somewhat became a trend now, wins in specs and smoothness. The smoothness is due to the user-interface(Touchwiz) because it is quite near to the stock vanilla UI. But build quality is not that good.

HTC - Got a very nicely done stock user-interface(HTC sense), thus slowing down the phone as it eats more RAM. Good build quality. Not so good camera.

Motorola - I don't really know much about this

I just explained it in a way that i don't take rooting/flashing custom roms into play, and I can't be too sure if all of the above are correct

Best is still nokia n8, but it's not running on android. So 2nd best I think should be SE xperia arc/arc S, got Xmor R for shooting in low light conditions ... but these 2 running on single-core processor. Those dual-core ones can follow what xDarkKnightx said

maxis sets are all S-LCD. not sure got AMOLED version selling outside or not

Looks like both are the same, just for different countries that's why they name it differently?
AP sets are available in malaysia. Ori set dun think got yet

Motorola defy/defy+.
But I saw before in their thread got some people drop the phone and then got spots coming out from the screen, but can do warranty claim la. So u better ask this and also bout the battery life in their official thread.

LG said O2X will get ICS update, o.black not sure will get or not. Anyway, 02X is laggy on stock ROM but custom ROM ok while black is I think still ok but accessories not easy to find cuz not popular, unless u buy online

Yes, dual core...but O2X's(not sure same goes to O.black or not) stock firmware is laggy as far as I know. Some said gingerbread update made it worse, some said it got better. Im not sure why, LG dint do it properly or something...Im not that sure..but maybe it's still tolerable..
As far as i know, no high-end LG's coming soon

Samsung galaxy Y / huawei ideos x3 / LG optimus one / csl mi-410(i think so) / SE live with walkman(AP set). All got their pros & cons

Galaxy W, but I dunno bout its durability. It will lag a wee bit if u multitask a lot/play certain good quality games. If u want durable, u can go for SE xperia active. U can check their official discussion thread for more info on batt life and all that

I heard that phone got slider problem, u can check their official thread for more info/problems. The cheapest so far I've seen for a new unit is RM899.
Else u can consider SE xperia pro

According to LG, the optimus 2X will get ICS...no news of ICS on sensation yet. But between the 3 u mentioned, nexus S is the most recommended

lowest I could find for huawei is RM800, as for mini x10, nope...no flash...

The huawei I meant is 2nd hand 1, I think around 500 can get?
I thought u said u want 5mp cam? Optimus 1 only 3mp wor...so as mini..Y only 2mp. Between mini and Y, mini got better camera but slower processor than galaxy Y...depends which 1 is u.
