kopitiam has always been about talking about normal everyday stuffs , with a muhibbah spirit.

the reason why kopitiam degrade, at least in my opinion, is because there are too many subforums already, so a lot of threads and discussions take place in those subforums instead of the kopitiam.

Hence /k/ is a dumping ground for nonsense that doesnt belong in those places.

there's too many people in Japan, but crime rate didn't increase.

Educated people should be relied upon to police themselves.

People intentionally breaking the rules should be permabanned.
