ok i decide not to buy caliber woofer and amp,here's my ICE journey start,i get my self a Pioneer DEH3350 hu,MBQ component,a JBL 12inch bass tube woofer,now i need 1 more amp to power up my woofer to done my ICE,since my woofer is 1000watts..wat amp should i use?2 channel or 4?and how many watts for that amp to support the woofer?

No need to scare and worry one..... Just buy it and try it out.... If the amp can't support, it will shutdown only....

if the amp can't support, they will not shutdown...u only got distortion of sound...unless the amp got failure by power loss, short circuit, thermal problem then the amp will shutdown internal power if they got protection features.

yes, most 2ch amp can support 12inch subwoofer with correct power rating.

4ch amp got 4 channels
- can run 4 speakers
-or can run 1 sub and 2 speakers

2ch amp got 2 channels
- can run 2 speakers
- or can run one woofer

yes a 2ch can run a 12inch sub, but u must check the RMS watt of the sub first, and then check the rms watt of the 2ch amp in "bridged mono" mode

if the numbers are close, then can la...

caliber is just another china chicken brand... even if its the europe genuine caliber... its still consider between the range of our pegasus(and the gang) over there...

so with RM180... it wont be a europe goods la... this one every one knows already... its a china sub... all you can do is, get a sealed box for it, 1.2cuft to 1.5cuft(i choose these size because these are normal size for average subs) see if it sounds good... if it sounds good, your amp is happy being coupled together with it... then close your eyes and buy it...

but if your eyes still see the RM180 is not worth it... then keep it in your wallet... save up... and buy a great sub with a great box...



p/s: not turning this thread into a chatting thread... but seriously dude... there is honestly not much opinion to talk about on threads like this... its like i wear L size but should i buy XL size?

whats the exact model of the sub?

buy a 4ch amp la, so u can power your front components as well as your sub.

check how many RMS Watt is your sub first, that 1000W is probly max output.

im guessing its rms is only around 250-300W, so if u can find a 75x4 amp should be ok, 100Wx4 even better.

TS, Zapco Reference 150W RMS x 4, bridged 500W RMS. PM me for detail.

Its JBL 1000T bass tube,an old model not GTO..

nothing to see lah, your sub is 250W only, so just look for a 4ch amp with power at least 60W per channel
the coil & magnet all that not important, its a basic single voice coil 4 ohm sub, suitable for a 4ch amp.

btw pioneer not knowned for their amps (except their high end ones), what other choices do u have?

rm600 can get way way good amp other than P brand lor..

Simple setup would be a 4 ch amp, use the first 2 ch to run your MBQ and bridge the other 2 ch to run your sub. Make sure your amp can be operated in bridge mode (nowadays mostly can but no harm to be extra cautious).

Mono for sub...can ar...then you might need to get additional amp for your MBQ....extra wiring...extra cost...if your budget is super low most likely you will end up with inferior stuffs

no need monoblock lahhh... its only a low power sub running at 4ohm

only recommended to get monoblock if u plan to run many subs and/or need a lot of power at less than 4ohm

NEVER get mono to run 4ohm. Waste of money.

i wouldnt rush and get some cap ayam amp and instead wait for the right amp to avaiable, while you wait, its a great chance for you to save up more to get better amp. patience bro
