Beh Kuan Kyn - a King Scout - was once a youth with bright future like most of us. Since early 2008, he has been suffering from Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis (急性播散性脑脊髓炎).

He tried a lot of treatments but of no avail. For more than 3 years, he has been living with a strong determination.

Today, there is a chance, there is a hope.

Few months ago in 2011, a well-known hospital in Beijing - Beijing Xishan Institute for Neuroregeneration and Functional Recovery - offers Beh Kuan Kyn a medical solution. Appointment is even made.

The only problem remains is, the exorbitant medical cost and flight ticket - RM 200,000.

A group of friends and Parit Buntar community decide to stand up - to raise RM 200,000 for Beh Kuan Kyn through the power of Facebook and LOVE.

为马冠群同学于二零一一年十一月十一日之前筹获庞大的医药费。

马冠群- 一名曾经因为杰出的表现而被大众一直认为前途无可限量的皇家童军，于三年前不幸患上急性播散性脑脊髓炎。 尽管天意弄人，马家还是不厌其烦，到处为冠群求医。

三年来，冠群凭其过人的意志力与病魔奋战。但其坚强的意志似乎还不足以面对老天给的考验。三年过去了冠群的病情似乎仍未见起色。

然而今天，我们收到了北京捎来的好消息，冠群的家人亲友看到了一线曙光，冠群的病症似乎有痊愈的希望。

北京市虹天济神经科学研究院系一直是全球神经科学治疗系的权威。而如今相关单位有意向冠群的病症进行治疗。为此，冠群的父母还于相关医院预约了诊断时间。只要还有一线希望就怎么样也不能放弃。

可是庞大的医药费似乎为拮据的经济状况雪上加霜。三年内，家人为冠群四处奔波寻求良医，已花上了家里的积蓄还有亲友人心的善款。家里经济状况已陷入了穷途末路。马币两百千医药费对冠群父母来说似乎是不可能的任务。

在此，冠群的亲友想借助媒体的力量，还有大众的爱心，为冠群治病！ 我们始终相信世间还有情，人间还有爱；哪怕是再渺茫的机会，都值得一试。

救人一命胜造七级浮屠，只要我们相信，这世界还是有希望。让我们发挥骨子里最原始的爱，热心捐款，与冠群一起渡过难关。

how about setting up online donation system to make it easier for people to donate? They can use direct bank transfer and paypal and so on.

Yes, this is what we are doing.

We are very careful to choose the bank account; there're some technical issues. We will look for the most suitable one asap. RM 200,000 is not a small amount; and through online, everyone wants to know where their money go, even RM 1 they will be very, very care. We need to be responsible. That's why it takes time to come out for the donation part.

We are just 21 years old in average. We are lack of many experiences but we are trying our best to help!

Do you try to find The Star, Sin Chew or other newspaper to get help on this?
by the way, how much have been collected so far? maybe you can update the collected amount every few days in FB, so that all people know the progress.

nice website!! I am ready to donate RM100. Not much but better than nothing. However, I am a bit skeptical on the doctor in China. Did you guys asked for the method used to cure Kuan Kyn? Why is it so expensive? Is it a proven procedure that works? What is the success rates of this treatment on others? Have the parents got a second or third opinion? These questions need to be ask because China people like to scam people.
