hi guys....previously i have open a topic on kopitiam QnA but i dint get the accurate answer i were look for...some said hav some said no.

well im gonna travel to shanghai...and it seems like china apple store selling ipad2 are cheaper *if my conversion are correct*

if i purchase it at there and bring it back to malaysia will i got taxed? unsure.gif also at china airport....will i got taxed too?

You bought, you use it, normally won't be taxed. Personally use is OK.

You won't get tax unless you buy like 10 of them and they believe you have intentions of selling them here.

If one unit only then no worries la. I went to China and bought loads of stuff back (not gadgets though) in bigger quantity, around 50-100 and I did bring it back to sell. They did scan one of my huge bags when I arrive KL and no taxes. But then most of those are of low cost only la.

i think they have certain amount of quantity only can impose TAX on you or maybe they just too lazy to check those thing
