hey guys after reading all reviews and comments i'm very tempted to get focus tdci for myself...question is...for tat kind of price is it worth?

1. not changing car for very long time...at least until the car has failed on me
2. normal city driving and daily travel distance of at least 44km from home to work
3. now still unattached but plan to use it as family car tongue.gif

my worry is:
1. our diesel quality not tat good (mayb u can suggest which pump to go for like caltex or bhp)
2. the car might not hv any resale value when i decide to let go in the future since mostly ppl will go for hybrid/EV
3. diesel/petrol fuel will dry out soon since it's finite resource
4. i read the maintenance/service cost is very high for this car...is this true???does those technicians capable of servicing this type of car as i know they r bunch of noobs

wat do u guys think?to buy or not to buy?by the way how much discount and freebies they r offering now?

mayb u guys hv other suggestions?mayb fiesta is good enough for me?

Regarding to your worries..

1.No comment on that>.>
2.True.. but who knows what happen after several years ahead of us? Technology keep advancing... same goes for car
3.Dry out soon.. but at least not in our life time wink.gif no worries bro
4.Free 3 years service maintenance.. so far Focus is doing very fine not a problematic car;) instead lots of good feedback for this model.

sedan = 11k
hatchback = 7k

they are CBU from phillipines; i saw it on the AP.

if u'r intersted for more info, go to the PJ SDAC look for stella.; she attended to me n a very nice sales person. follow up a-z. u can look for her if u'r going that area.

so far, i dont face any problem with the TDCI hatchback, infact, i m getting more n more mileage each time i drive smile.gif

hopefully when my engine is all run in. i get much better fc/mileage.

loving the torque.
*
thanks for ur info...btw tat 11k discount is from ford itself rite?if consider SA's offer based on their commission the price can reduce further?

i m not sure what other discount they will give thats y u gotta check with the sales team smile.gif
*
alrite thx i will ask the SA during my test drive session...btw is it suitable as a family car?price is quite high...worth to buy?

the sedan interior not so nice...prefer sport but sedan can get additional 4k discount...hmm...tough choice...if they can offer 11k also for sport best thumbup.gif

ehm.. when i spoke to the manager of the sdac, he sed probably mid year? or even later.
IF they bring in the new focus anytime soon, it would be the PETROL version first, den down the road only introduce the TDCI version i think.

so tats y i decided to get the tdci now n duwan to wait for it.

n besides the white tdci looks super fierce like a raging bull lol.
*
hmm...i see...anyway lets say if i'm willing to get lesser discount for sedan..probably same discount as for sport..but i wan its interior to be of sport's type is this possible?i know nobody hv ever done this but juz curious...in the end both side win...i get wat i wan...they get their business deal...

How much is the discount?

Earlier i was considering about the pre-registered version which is quite affordable.
*
earlier was 2010 models...but now onli left sedan...sports finish alrdy...if follow the trend and also car depreciation law...year end or jan 2012 they will probably give 11k discount or more for sports and 20k for sedan for 2011 models la...if they never do this they can't clear their stock..u know la tdci not received very well in m'sia due to msian mindset tat diesel engine is dirty la...noisy la...pollution la...
