last time , Tmn Midah SA offer me rm8k for TDCi 2011....

surely 2012 ford focus is coming to our land but i'm bit confident that SDAC will introduce petrol version first..after 1-2 only they come out with turbocharged diesel

most probably we might get ford focus 1.6 ecobossst
*
ooo.. u stay around tmn midah??

but the new focus model, they didnt really shout out about the tdci version right??
all i see is the 1.6 eco boost. and u have any idea when will it reach our shores??

http://news.motorstop.asia/auto-show/2012-...fully-revealed/

but which would be better?? tis 2.0 tdci or the 1.6 eco boost? sweat.gif

ahhhh.. decision decision.

QUOTE(Dias @ Aug 21 2011, 12:31 AM)
Huh? A high tire pressure doesn't cause bad FC. It does kill the tires prematurely though besides a noisier stiff ride.
*
QUOTE(John91 @ Aug 21 2011, 12:45 AM)
I know right! In fact its quite the contrary. Underinflated tires only give worse mileage. But I tested out my fofi on the Federal, speed all the way back with ETC SP7 with one passenger. FC remained at 8.5l/100km throughout. Usually if I do that alone, the fc will increase around 0.3l/100km... so... I'm quite pleased too haha.

And yes @confuzan, no more bumpy ride, its SOO much better now.  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif
*
hm..

actually under inflated and over inflated does effect the FC and performance of tires.

under inflated tires gives u terrible FC, it causes faster wear n tear on the side walls and heavier steering feedback.

over inflated tires may give u not so good fc due to the rotational mass of the wheels have increase. it takes more power n rotation to go one round. u get much lighter steering feedback BUT u get lesser grip. especially when u going over those yellow stripes. u will start skidding over them when u brake. n not to mention super duper bumpy ride.

laugh.gif haha i have tested n experience the above when i had my previous ride.

I haven't inflated my tyres in 7 months. I have no idea exactly how much the pressure is, but judging from the looks, they seem okay.
*
sweat.gif

7months ah?? u better visit the petrol station n check the tire pressure.

i think it should have fallen to the 2x psi figures sweat.gif

optimum i think should be about 32-33psi?

Im an engineering student so this is quite interesting to me... Maybe overinflated tires offer less frictional rolling resistance due to less surface area contact, but makes up for by increasing moment of inertia... But so far i did some googling everywhere doesnt mention anything that supports my statement. I'll try my next full tank of fuel first.

@baboon- its very important to check ur tire pressure as underinflated tires will increase fc n tire wear drastically. U cant see from just observations as the tire will look d same.

Check out this link. - Tiretech

Keen eye  tongue.gif  You did both grounding and vs? I have a bit of jerking sometimes but its much less compared to the last time without any mods. The change of spark plugs help, also the "Electron Power" plug cables which act as a VS helps too.  I think if more grounding points are added it would be better as eric only managed to find 3 points for fiesta 1.6. I would prefer 5 points though.
*
hey John91, after using ericteoh's VS. what would u say/compare to the other VS out in the market like pivot or hotinazma???

those are bloody expensive becus of their marketing; but does eric's vs really works better den the 2 above i mention?

I have used both products (erictoh's and hotinazma) before and I can tell you that both products work well. Bug Auto is using full set hotinazma (type mr, hot earth and super pocket) while I am using erictoh's. Hotinazma's has either 5 or 8 grounding points (I forgot) compared to my 3 points. Hotinazma is a bit smoother overall IMO maybe due to these factors (I don't have super pocket too). I think you could drop by Cheras area to test drive both our cars if you want =p

But for the price difference, I rather get erictoh's because of budget restriction  tongue.gif

Added on August 23, 2011, 10:54 am

Apprarently there are 3 points for auto, and 4 for manual apparently that eric could find. I'm going to ask my friend to find more points for me to ground, I think 5 is optimum. Btw, you need to chip off the paint before doing grounding else the electricity will not conduct properly to your car body.
*
tell me about it man.. sweat.gif

hot inazma cost a freaking bomb yo. one full set, anytime above 1.5k. the hot inazma hyper i m using previously cost 750 sweat.gif

i think that alone i can get eric to customise 1 set each for 2 cars.

ehhh.. sakit hati yo if wanna chip off the paint sweaT:

The hatch is 1440kg ( Damn heavy for a car this size  shakehead.gif ), if it's lighter by 200kg then imagine the acceleration  icon_idea.gif

Added on August 23, 2011, 11:27 am
Haha can't see the hp only, it's only 26hp more than my city vtec but the acceleration is way better ( due to 320Nm of torque?  drool.gif )
*
oh wat the heck?? sweat.gif

1440kg?? lol.. i m gonna start dumping off the spare wheels, carpets and back seats laugh.gif

yes yes, the torque is what matters in city driving. most importantly is the FC.

but 1440kg. come on man. tats like a TANK!

U didn't feel the weight when driving this car? That's why it feels so damn solid  laugh.gif , 1440kg is only about 50kg lighter than camry 2.0 and about 150kg more than civic 2.0  shakehead.gif

ofcourse i did! but tats during stop n go launch; but after the torque kicks in; its another story after tat tongue.gif

its a very SOLID car man, tats why its a tank!.

i'll probably go for a 3rd test drive laugh.gif tis time with my wife tongue.gif kekekeke finance minister laugh.gif
