OPT guard I dont think anyone willing to sell it to consumer .I source it from other places and the price is way cheaper even can consider cheaper than Optiocoat 2.0. Opticoat 2.0(22cc ) selling in Malaysia for RM300 where the optiguard i get is RM420(40cc which can coat up to 4 cars). There is 10cc version of optiguard which is RM210 only.

Yes i'm going to coat it myself.

Is a permanent coating to protect your car.
You can actually do a search in youtube "opticoat" you will see a lot of video of how it works, how to apply and so on.

There is some dealer/detailer working with this product
http://www.detailien.com/
They dont sell the optiguard but they sell only consumer version of it which is still expensive.

If you ask the to coat it cost around Rm1600 onwards(which include cleaning and fixing some swirl spot before applying the coat)
You can also search in lowyat forum there are 2 person doing this coating services.

got my FOFOTI+ yesterday. The front parking sensor keep beeping. To resolve is by sticking the number plate to the car itself and never use the number plate cover as this is blocking the sensor(if the cover is too long)

i also feel the number plate is a bit too wide, and the red box is the place where the sensor is.
maybe i should change to a smaller number plate

You dont need to change , just remove the number plate cover will do and stick the number plate(without the cover) to the car. That will resolved the issue.

the cover is for nothing basically just a holder for the number plate. I stick it with double sided tape.

im interested in getting ford focus sedan 2012, but im concerned about fuel consumption. I'm not expecting it to be comparable to honda city and toyota vios, but it must be a fuel efficient car cause i will be travelling a lot. and also handling of the car. besides, i feel that leg room is a insufficient.

ford focus 2012 owners, please share your experience smile.gif

[Ford Focus] Anyone knows if we can play songs from USB, album by album automatically, instead of mixing all tracks together under "Play all tracks"? I can only choose "Play all tracks" which mix all the songs together, or play by a selected album/artiste chosen manually sad.gif

Yes you can browse by Album under Sync settings if im not mistaken

Added on December 14, 2012, 11:23 pmAny body having any issue with the door lock sensor(black thingy on the handle). Mine out of sudden having difficulty in closing the door. Im suspecting the wiring issue as it will function when i pull the handle out and move it to the right a bit.

My SYNC crashes as well and need to be reinstall.

i think all this gosok gosok means the sensor is not good. Mine use to be like that after a while totally can't use. It should be something quite serious since is happening to everyone. This should be raise as a biggest concern.

My passenger side sensor is working fine with just light touch it will lock the car but not my driver side.

Just to share if non of the focus owner knows. There is 2 stage locking in most of the focus even MK2.
1st Stage locking. Open all 4 doors at press of the unlock button.
2nd Stage locking. Only open the driver door. It can open passenger door when you press the unlock button second time or when the key fob is near on any of the passenger door.

To activate 1st or 2nd stage just press lock and unlock button together on your key fob and hold for 4 second and the hazard light will blink to indicate the locking stage is change.

Another thing to share is that if you encounter sync not working and you are not able to access Sync settings to do a Master reset on sync. The easiest way is to take off the fuse which is located below the front passenger side dashboard. Please check your manual for the correct fuse to take off. Take off for 3 minutes then put it back. That will reset the Sync.

Same here for PJ, they ask me to walk inthe next day and So i was there at 8:30am the following taken the number and wait until 10:30 only they attend me.

So i feel the answer they response to me regarding the door sensor is really lame.
They say it happens on few cars and dont know what was the issue and keep on saying that even change spare part it will be same. But they never even try to change but already given a conclusion sighhh.

They also didnt promise when they will fix that for me so ended up i complain again and this time they want to give a proper check on it.

Honestly driving there and wait for few times is really time consuming.

Hopefully they can fix that for me as the car is new and only 1 month old.

My previous key less entry car drive for 8.5 years the door lock button working fine

Musurella,
Congrats. Good to see more Focus on the road.

Can all bro share your fuel consumption here ? I clocked 1k odo and getting 370km only for rm 80 fuel. Is this normal ? My right foot is not heavy at all.

Breadman,
Thanks for your input. I wonder if bi-xenon can use smoke headlamp. Looks more cool 😝

I also read in forum somewhere that 1k can go for free check in service center. Is this compulsory ? I have not got my free service voucher yet after one month. Is this normal ?
*
I didnt do the 1k service thing. Now mine had clocked 3k+. Fuel consumption from day 1 until now average 560-590 city driving.
