there's always a compromise between sport and comfort..swift drive characteristic is go kart like hence it's loveable tuck in feeling at corners..but comfort wise, fiesta hands down

Test drive fiesta s this afternoon, really thumbs up for it's handling and braking capability as well as very good in absorbing all those malaysia no 1 pots hole.
Fiesta handling is way better than proton with lotus handling....smile.gif

All the safety features, versatile head unit with bluetooth, powerful engine, door lock with a touch of a button, follow me home light.

Only thing is the rear seat is so straight at 180 degree........i do not want to seat at the rear for a long distance drive.
*
have to agree on you about the rear seat..not comfortable for adult for long journey especially the head rest position

my ride already clock 1500 km . First at all, I should bring my car to service center for 1000km interval service . 1000km interval service only for checking/inspection right? nothing gonna be change

My life a bit busy this fasting month even on saturday I work until noon.

If I bring my car on 1800-2000 km , does  SC still accept it? I just worried if gonna affect my warranty?

Did call customer service and they ask me to bring my car on Monday .

Anyone can share how long it take for 1k service ? any SC that got less customer?
*
of course they will accept ur car and doesnt affect the warranty...only thing , you have to pay for the service cost smile.gif .. free service vouchers are only for the scheduled service interval. I did my service and 2nd oil change @ 3000km

Are the European and US countries' Fiesta using the Duratec Ti-VCT engine as well? Or are they still on Zetec-S?

Different review sites reviewed different Fiesta (reviews are all made 2008 and above). Some reviewed the TDCi version and another uses the Zetec-S version.
*
based on this link engine option in UK , there's zetec, econetic, ti-VCT

Just in case anyone's curious...

At night have to think about the driver behind you who have to stare at your third brake light though. Road courtesy.
*
well..grm my observation, most malaysian drivers always step on the brake pedals when staionary, but step on their accelerator pedal when approaching traffic lights frm yellow turning red doh.gif

Why is it wrong? Lol... It doesn't bother me (not that I do it, I always pull handbrake when stationary unless I know the light is going to be green soon.)

Well doesn't yellow mean to go faster?  tongue.gif
*
ha ha..problem is malaysian driver approaching traffic light turned yellow wanna go faster...on a serious note better ditch that bad 'yellow mean to go faster' habit before innocent people or even yourself got killed

QUOTE(Dias @ Aug 15 2011, 12:14 AM)
LOL! Currently have half tank left. I reckon that I can go for another 180km on one more bar before needing to refuel since I try not to let the tank go below 1/4 as it might put me in a bad situation if I suddenly get caught in a jam.

I have a benchmark distance for my tank meter to shape my driving habits. My average distance per day is roughly 60km, with a variance of 5km over and under the average. That gives me a good feel of what I need to do to meet the base and standard benchmark.

From full tank to 3/4, I need to clock a minimum 150km. From 3/4 to 1/2 must have another minimum 150km. From 1/2 to 1/4, I need around 180km. That gives me a 480km base distance on 31.5L (42L*3/4). Base on trend, I usually get around 490km-500km which is my standard distance and hence, standard benchmark (i.e. clocking somewhere in between is good enough).

Of course, that benchmark is based on Esso RON 95 and now I'm on Shell RON 95 (due to an ongoing project on testing various fuel and its impact on power and FC). I believe that there will be difference in the benchmark using Shell vs Esso's but I need more refills to establish that. The current tank has 5.658L of Esso fuel, hence I need to further dilute the Esso mix before re-establishing the standards. And since it's Puasa time, the traffic is less after I leave the office. That also skews my FC favorably which might not give me a true picture of the fuel's performance.

Guys...my headlamp have water mark inside it, went to sc last saturday to do my 1st service and also to check on the headlamp, it turns out that there's another fiesta at that time facing the same problem. The sc took some photos of the headlamp and will send it to autoconexion, hopefully they'll replace it with new ones. Has anyone here experience the same thing?

there're two fofians that I know also claiming and still waiting for response from SDAC...Ford is a good car but unfortunately gomen style distributor mad.gif

how to test the alarm of Fiesta? I locked the car using the remote and leave it overnight only to know that I didn't close the rear door, yucks
*
when locking your car, pls observe and make sure that both repeater lights on side mirror blinks twice as it folds. if you armed your alarm, and the mirror folds but the repeater lights didnt blnk, means its not properly locked or door not properly closed
