hey guys!

im interested in the new ford focus. thinking of getting the red one

but i had to wonder which red are we malaysian market getting?

i really dont want to rely on pictures on the brochures or on the website because theyre normally photoshopped.

anyone ever seen our version of red new ford focus? is it the darker red or the lighter red?

Have you guys check on thailands ford's website? Ford Thailand website
They have ford focus spare parts pricing and comparison with two other brands. Quite convenience if ford
themselves could put on standard pricing for each parts, too bad theres none on our local website.

Anyone actually test drive both titanium and sport? I notice on specification list on sport got "sport-tuned suspension".

Is this even true or they just made it to balance out for the missing BLIS on sport model. So is there anyone ever felt this sport-tuned suspension?

there is already ambient light in the new ford focus, red colour.

Sorry i thought youre getting the + version.
I think any modification that requires cutting wire or changing parts will void warranty.
So unless your car already got the slots and sockets for all the stuff youre risking your warranty.
Better confirm with your SA tho

Ghia means sedan for the old focus mk2 model isnt it? Even now sometime you could see SA promoting new focus sedan as "ghia titanium". The one youre dealing with maybe one of them.

Thats why i said youre dealing with one of them, they soo used to registering the old focus theyre bringing the name to the new model as well. Or youre actually bought the Sport hatchback?

I think youre not supposed to touch that button. Just have your remote in pocket and pull the door, it should unlock itself. But remember to arm the lock yourself when you leave your car, it wont lock automatically.

Lol i only see the SA directly went and grab the door-lights blink-he gets in.
Else fail why not refer to the manual, should be detailed there

The SA that went to test drive with me had informed me new batch of ford focus has arrived, those had placed booking should get them soon ^^

While the idea of focus owner group is interesting, new focus owner is still scarce and most owner seem like frequently busy with life . The group will be a lonely group
And im not even an owner, just a fan, an enthusiast, a wannabe

Just got back from ford roadshow at sutera mall johore, they offer rm500 for branded tint like 3M or vkool, but free full tint if dont mind the brand. Also hint me she could give free portable gps too lol.

While the one i acquainted earlier only offer rm300 tint voucher of homebrand brand raytex and agard.


Im concerned abt the toolkit and jack too, all 3 showcar that ive seen dont see them anywhere too, might be well hidden

All three i look in boot and spare tyre compartment. But i didnt check under the spare tyre, i dont want to force the SA to dismantle the securing arrangement
So it might be there.

Thanks, that'll put on much assurance to others. Yep, i noticed the maxxis spare tyre; cut cost method, common for malaysian bound car.


Btw, i only notice all new focus owner here all opt for silver isn't it? Red is too striking?

For the + variant, does the sunroof glass comes with treated glass?
I mean slightly dark or uv protected or heat resistant?

Or you had to tint the sunroof glass topping up the tint voucher,

If it really lunar sky then it is new colour but unheard of to me even in us and eu region, maybe you mean MIDNIGHT SKY?

Did you see the light orange one from the front? It might be test drive unit for Ford Focus ST. Tangerine Orange. Exclusive colour for ST. In us/eu for normal focus got Mustard Yellow, but no orange. But pictures from media test drive in Krabi, Thai did show a colour that not listed in other region a bit yellowish green, might be that one too.

I wonder what the discount reflect to; is sedan is selling more well then hatchback so trying to milk more sale with better discount?

My friend got a lancer GT and then he bought fofi for his wife, a year pass now he's driving the fiesta and his wife driving his lancer to school; she a teacher. Its school holiday now and he still driving his wife's fiesta

In us and eu 18" rim is a part of titanium handling package. I would go for that if it was offered here, the 5 spoke rim look awesome
