sweat.gif
i took out the spare tire in the trunk n put it on a digital scale;

it weights 19.6kg

checked online for the weight of the nct5 tires (205/55/16) 25lbs/11.34kg.

roughly our rims weight about 8.2kg sweat.gif heavy man.

i know why the spare tires get stuck in our trunk sweat.gif

i think originally its suppose to be those standard no design rim with tires. but ford replaced it with sportrims thats y cannot fit properly.

wut i did was put some cloth around the wall n drop the spare tires in.
its easier to pull out the tires now sweat.gif

i feel like ditching the spare tire tongue.gif heavy le

I think the meter quite accurate one. I alway refuel once the light on
currently I noticed the analog fuel meter and digital remaining very slow to updated the recent reading  after refuel.

It took 10-15 minutes for the car to update the latest info.
*
walau, if its really accurate, means that i can travel about 100km +- more la?? tats like 600km on a full tank when the engine isnt even run in yet yo! thumbup.gif

hands down to the TDCI man.

QUOTE(sevendogz @ Sep 23 2011, 11:35 AM)
Do you know how heavy is the stock 15" sport alloy rim for fofi sedan? It's not light too I suppose...
*
the fofi sedan spare rim issit like the sport rims or plain steel rim??

if it is like the original rim, u probably can put it on a weight scale like i did n check the tires weight online to get a rough weight calculation.

hi,

have been test tdci and excellent pick up. im wonder why acceleration fast and the torque is high and yet 0-100 is no very good? 9+ sec? have anyone hit 1000km per tank as showroom salesman said?
*
for 1000km i think u have a mix highway n city drive n really light footed sweat.gif if really would like to try to hit 1000km but yesterday i hit 637.6km on a full tank; more den satisfied i m biggrin.gif

u probably can try n time urself again on 0-100. maybe tats on paper. i believe its much faster den that.

TDCI is ur answer to y the torque is so high smile.gif

I prefer fabric. Leather seats are a turn-off for me. There's less tendency to get sweaty backs compared to leather.

ahah i too prefer fabric; my butt dont glue to the leather seats; slide too much lol

well depend on the model, laser/tx3 = japan, focus = UK/europe, mustang = US

Added on October 5, 2011, 1:41 pmah notes to new fiesta or ghia owners.

Your remote key lock have an additional function to it. Single push open driver door only, double push open all doors.

Really an additional safety feature if you are a female owner so no bad guy can rush in and open the passenger door when you're alone.

Next time you go to ford service center, ask them to configure it. I forgot already how to do it or maybe just call them and ask how. It's pretty easy, pushing 2 button simultaneously for 3 sec or something like that.
*
i think different batch remotes are programmed differently.
my friends focus is programmed single click = driver unlock only; double click = all door.

mine is single click = all doors

and also do u know if u hold down the LOCK n UNLOCK for long enough, the windows will all wind down n up??

The middle notch between the zero and quarter marker is when the Fuel Tank Low light comes out. That gives you around 7 liters of fuel remaining.

But the good thing is that I actually know how much fuel is left instead of having to guess whether I'll make it to the next petrol station or not.
*
i m loving the estimation fuel remaining km reading haha. really hate guessing how much my tank n go b4 it really runs out of fuel.

BTW, moon* i am still amazed by your FC, i can only get around 9litre/100km for full city driveĀ  cry.gif
*
@ Bliz; i m amazed as well.

i m not sure if different diesel from different brand affects the FC/Power or not. but i m using ESSO.

and i kinda converted my closed box to an open pod too tongue.gif
i feel more power, pickup. i notice the FC is quite good as well. perhaps more air to the engine?

ok here goes.

picture on the right.

there should be 4 7mm bolts securing the box. jst unscrew n open it up. take out the filter. filter is slot in.

picture on the left.

the air ram is bolted to the box by 2 screw. if i recall its 7mm or not its the star shape screws. unscrew tat.
n on the same pix; more right is one rubber band securing the box down. take tat out.

u can now remove the bottom of the box by pulling it upwards. the bottom is secured by a rubber PLUG.

but b4 u can do the above. i think u might need to remove the engine cover. also by pulling it. careful not to drop the rubber mounts sweat.gif its easier to remove the engine cover when the engine bay is warm.
