could they have accidentally disconnected the connection while checking for your horn?? by all means complain to the service counter n make sure they fix it yo.

i also go to SDAC PJ sweat.gif
*
i went there this morning and complain it to the counter staff who serve me when i fix the horn, i request to fix it rightaway as it's the technician fault to make smth like this, he answered me that too many car in Q cant do that... what the fish i dont care whether there's a Q or not la, it's ur side that caused my inconvenience... but i didnt say that out i juz quiet, make an appointment on next wed, and walk out, if i'm to argue, i'm afraid whole SDAC PJ building is only my sound

well depend on the model, laser/tx3 = japan, focus = UK/europe, mustang = US

Added on October 5, 2011, 1:41 pmah notes to new fiesta or ghia owners.

Your remote key lock have an additional function to it. Single push open driver door only, double push open all doors.

Really an additional safety feature if you are a female owner so no bad guy can rush in and open the passenger door when you're alone.

Next time you go to ford service center, ask them to configure it. I forgot already how to do it or maybe just call them and ask how. It's pretty easy, pushing 2 button simultaneously for 3 sec or something like that.
*
it's not 2 times, it's 3 times pressing the unlock button

hi does anyone know how does the fuel meter actually work?? it's based on some sort of sensor in the fuel tank or it's controlled by some wire?? bcoz after i send my fiesta for fixing the radio button on the steering (not working), the meter seems like drop very fast, given that i drive very "politely" oni rev up to 6k rpm once, normally oni 3k rpm... oni around 70km travelled then left oni 3/4 tank based on the meter

How far you can go for a full tank?
*
my last tank around 380-400km, fully city driving but before i fix the radio issue, it seems like normal, no problem at all, now after fix oni 70km then use up 1/4 tank d, before fix can go up to 100km

what i'm trying to say here is that the fc is still the same after repair, the amount of fuel is still there, juz that the fuel meter not working properly or not that accurate anymore

The first advice I got from the technician from SDAC when I talked to them is "DON'T MESS WITH THE WIRING AND ELECTRONIC STUFF". Got lots of problem later if we do...
*
the problem is that the repairment is all done at SDAC... the technicians there is kind of noob...

Finally surpassed the Ford Fiesta's fuel efficiency standard!

QUOTE("Ford SDAC")
With the combination of 6 speed dual clutch transmission (PowerShiftĀ®), twin independent variable camshaft timing (Ti-VCT) Ford Fiesta will have an estimate fuel consumption of 5.9L to a 100 kilometers. 42 liter fuel tank will enable a travel distance of 700 kms.

100km/5.9ltr = 16.95 km/ltr
700km/42ltr = 16.67 km/ltr
CODE
Distance Traveled (km): 603.1 km
Fuel Consumed (Liter): 34.253 liters
Consumption Value (RM): RM 65.08
Distance per Liter (KM/Ltr): 17.607 km/ltr
Cost per Km (RM/KM): RM 0.108/km
Liter per 100 KM (Ltr/100 KM): 5.679 ltr/km

Drove as I normally do daily. Only difference is that I took a different route home via USJ toll once I reached the MUFORS overhead restaurant (ELITE Highway) that was slightly longer but less hilly compared to driving straight to Putra Heights toll. I guess the many long uphill climbs is the main factor that pulls down my FC.

bro, mayb they will find u as ambassador of fofi in term of fc?? haha, anyway felt happy that u actually achieved smth real great

not really actually, the design wise... ford considered almost no investment on the design of focus... i didnt say golf gti design is nice also but it's way better than ford focus

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON FORD  CARS!

Been there done it. They treat them as crap in Europe. Now because they cant make any end meet in Europe now they try Asia.

Stick to Japanese car you will be a lot more safer & saving in your pocket.

but there's too much engine braking once u let go of the throttle in L mode. so if wanna race, really need to floor the pedal all the way, dont lift ur foot at all. if not steep gradient, hill assist is better. but if steep gradient, or going down genting, L mode is better.
*
nope, L is not applicable when u going down from genting, as the L for fofi is lowest gear available, not lowest gear as normal cars, as one of the fofi owners uncle farid reaches 180km/h with L, when going uphill or downhill oni used hill assist button

Not possible... =( Pushing the limit also probably around 8 seconds?... that is also unless we have a properly tuned car with remap/ piggyback with all the other mods.

No need to choose gear when entering corner, exiting corner only important ma lol... but I sapu the corners with my new springsĀ  drool.gif

Probably everything a NA car can mod? Except remapping... cuz thats not in the market yet for our car spec. European version and Malaysian one is different.

go for supercharged, straight "bungkus" vw golf icon_idea.gif last time i saw the website, now forgotten d, it stated that after add in the supercharged, our fofi did 0-100 in either 7.0 or 7.5 shocking.gif
