QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Oct 2 2012, 08:22 PM) thats why said you're assuming things lo i dunno, im in the car revving the car till ~6k rpm, it didn't seem loud to me, and i am comparing it to my iswara who has its bonnet sound proofed/dampened by STP bonnet solution lol (which is pretty quiet for an old car mind you, only really audible after 3-4k rpm or red lining) =edit= to further clarify: on road driving around 120-130km/h sit in car with doors closed (yes will have road noise too, but thats the best comparison since you get genuine engine load) What ure actually testing or have tested was the NVH not really the engine sound itself. But it may also mean a quiet engine but the main test factor here was the NVH.

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Oct 3 2012, 10:40 AM) if they have damn good sound proofing however bad engine noise, and the end result is you still get a quiet engine when you're inside the car, does it really matter if the engine is actually loud? Hence why i think the loudness of the engine should be properly measured and not be confused with good NVH. Either way, engine refinement is only 1 criteria amongst others. I would think safety should be paramount for everybody in choosing their rides not resale value or cost of periodic maintenance.

QUOTE(alg7_munif @ Oct 8 2012, 08:40 PM) I went to test the TDCI before and a while after that I went to test the 328i and 320d. Imagine TDCI kind of torque starting below 2k rpm and yet at the same time you can floor it to the redline over 5k rpm for the 328i...
Unless you are really committed to buy the 328i, please don't test drive it. The power of that car is really something. Right after the test drive, I felt that my 2.5L E60 is underpowered when I drove back from the branch. The only reason why I didn't go for it is the 3 series is not as comfortable as the 5 series. I thought you bought a Fiesta?

QUOTE(alg7_munif @ Oct 11 2012, 10:39 PM) The car was designed by Ford R&D centre in Europe so it is a continental car. Unless you are buying Ford trucks, most of their passenger cars are not american.
Maybe most cars gave you way on the highway because they wanted a closer look of the car. The Focus is much more beautiful in metal than in pics. Also remember that AES has been running already so people might be a little cautious nowadays, they would rather move away than go faster right? Yes the car surely looks better on the road than in brochures. But then again its color dependent. I feel that for a car of this shape and design, it goes better with darker colors. Saw 1 red model the other day and it looked cool. Pity Ford didnt increase the rear legroom. It would have been an all rounder then. No other C segment car would have come close.

QUOTE(fact3 @ Nov 24 2012, 02:13 PM) 9 year loan after 10% downpayment around rm865 monthly.
Sum that with all other your commitment; if you still got balance for savings and emergency fund youre good to go So as long as he has left over for savings and emergency, then he can spend all on a car? So no requirement for investments?
