been a silent reader in this forum since the launch of new focus.

just want to know from new focus owners, as im thinking of upgrade my ride from 2006-2007 vios 1.5G (not the dugong one), do the new focus driver and passenger space, both front and rear, is much larger and more comfort than my current one?

and is it true the rear aircond vents is below the front seats?
*
I think vios much more/almost same as new focus

for new focus, I find rear seat sedan much comfy than hatchback

so u found out why the dash and seats were stripp of the focus u saw at the SC bro?
*
used to sit in my sister ride before and felt that the back seat almost the same. Vios hav much better head room compare to new focus.Person who sit at the back might felt clausofobic due to small window n low head room

sorry .abit in rush when collecting my car today.havent got a chance to ask.

*
Polo Tsi and 308T might par with TDCI performance but definately can not beat its torque

C230k? yes but it already 5/6 years old compare to used TDCi at 90k ( 2 yrs old) .U can hav fun with turbocharged petrol but turbocharged make u smile and save ur wallet

nothing comes close to it at new 128k.
second hand is a different case because some people are willing to trade off car age for cheaper price or get a different look.

finally able to test the TDCI today at ford pj.

when i first look at the rev counter i was like.....what! 4k rpm only?
1k to 2k rpm length is like the same for my current car from 1k to 3k rpm.
wasn't impressed, then started the engine, sound like a lorry.
after that initial sound didn't hear anything when rolling out from the showroom.
cruise abit then floor it, its eager to move, felt like a normal 2.0 until after 2k rpm.
it just started to brutally push me into the seat.
went around the block for a short sprint test.
anytime over 2k rpm it will pull like a supercharger.
even at higher speeds felt endless but the road is endless.
just need to blip and keep it over 2k for happy times all day long  drool.gif
slightly different driving style needed from a petrol car but nice
after the test drive i was like....

u just need a throttle controller or tunning ur engine.

even after 1year , i still annoyed by those lorry sound during idle/traffic light( need to SP my car )

200hp 450nm? what the.... are u sure? how do it with TDCi? only tune+remap? clutch can tahan?

by the wat, i got few question..
we found out that TDCi sport has sport tuning.. if i ald plan to get tune+remap, then TDCi sedan has same result after tune+remap?

and the ford SA told me if i change to 17"rim then need do tuning again? and if we change 17"rim the warranty will void.. is it true?

slight mod + tuning + remap will spoild the warranty? true or not?
*
changing to 17" surely void the warranty for suspension , but sometime they can closed one eyes ( make sure u got good relation with them )

can elaborate more on slight mood?

remap cannot be trace so u will be safe.

i see in other topic LYN they TDCi go "sunat" i dunno what mean lol.. then duno wad, duno wad, forget ald.. then breaks then final only tune+ remap.. is it the right way? i mean put tune and remap at last...
*
before 'sunat' , better change ur air filter to better one ie K&N , or else you stock air filter cannot tahan the suction power after 'sunat'.

my advise , upgrade brake system before thinking to remap to 170hp. Right now I thinking to upgrade the hose and brake pad for better braking power .

to fully utilize the remap , make sure u mod the exhaust / mountune air box first.

certainly agree with the antenna part.. they should have integrate it into rear window like toyota cars or even give a little shorter antenna ..it will look nicer in that way.

change to aftermarket..

Another bad experienced with Ford SC regarding my accident

Worst thing that comes to my mind is correct. Ford dont changed the front bonnet .

Today I got some free time and got a chance to hav a closer look to check out any paint defect.

Found out that workshop just only repair my front bonnet .So I called the rep he insisted that the bonnet been replaced with new one based on document printed.

I argued with him that 110% confident that the bonnet is the old but he keep telling that workshop wont do like that and those bonnet is new ones. Even ask me to come to SC on tomorrow to verify it Lastly he told me that he will double check and promise to call by tomorrow (Saturday). Surprisingly after 5pm he called me , and admit that he dont change the bonnet and really sorry about that.Told that he just ordered a new one and will let me know once the part ready.

today , SC ask me to bring my car to SC to change the bonnet on next Monday. Really surprise how the fast they manage to get the new bonnet for since I only complaint on Friday.

But I told them , prepare a courtesy car for me first .

Focus tdci is a CBU car(Philippine or Thai?), the bonnet is imported too. So fast got stock?! SC claim but keep the new one, let customer use the repaired old bonnet?
*
TDCi is CBU Pinoy...I think they already ordered the new and gave the repaired ones to customer since the bonnet only got minor kemek only

you must bring this to consumer tribunal to teach them a freaking lesson...
*
yes can but only can claims how many days that I hav to spend due to their faults, ie based on salary how much perday , petrol n tol .

Only can opt for tribunal if they wont entertain my complaint.

my specialty is consumer behavior/right so I know it in detail regarding Consumer tribunal Claims

To answer :
1. There should be a new TDCi, but i don't think it will be anytime soon. Maybe 12-24 months times.

2. No idea.

3. No idea. This is entirely on SDAC.

4. Will not be less than RM128,000.  tongue.gif
*
the price might be around 135k-145k with full spec unless the downgrade the accs, with the higher price , how SDAC want to market MK3 TDCI to compete with others. Most Malaysian still skeptical about the diesel engine especially with Euro2 diesel.

Even Mondeo TDCI havent reach here.
