Would anyone know? I work in Kg. Baru area. KLCC might be nearby but I hope their charges are not too much. I need to:

- Shorten sleeves SLIGHTLY as they are too long doh.gif
- Add leather buttons nod.gif
- Make sleeve buttons work, no fake buttons which don't work

Can such mods be done? hmm.gif

Have you asked whether they provide in-house alterations at M&S? I know they do at Zara.
Sleeves shortening is quite common, you can try Za Altera. I'm sure there's an alteration shop in KLCC but pricier.

Adding buttons? What buttons are you talking about?

Making working cuffs? Too much work (I'm no expert though), might cost a bomb. Why bother?

- Shorten sleeves almost all tailors can do it.
- Leather buttons? Are you sure?
- You could as the tailor to make them. But at what cost?

Can mod, hope it doesn't cost up to getting one tailored in such a way.

I think they don't actually do it in the store itself. I assume they send it to someone for simple alterations like length.
I asked the SA at Pavilion and he told me I could bring my garment to any Zara outlet. So, yeah.

These are the black leather buttons I'm looking for. Two large ones on the front, and four small ones on each cuff. I'd love it if they could convert my fake cuffs to working cuffs. hmm.gif

I bought a couple of shirts and tees from online websites.
The sizings turned out to be very loose.
Any shops at Sunway area which can alter the cuttings of shirts and tees at the sleeves and chest/should area ?
What are the costs?
Thanks.

ask for the seller to exchange size maybe. after you adjust maybe doesn't look so good already. pay the seller for the postage.

I ordered mine from Asos... Find it a hassle to return and it's pricey too....

Altering T-shirts are very rarely worth it. What size did you get from Asos anyway?

you can alter almost anything actually, so long as you have money.

btw, theres a shop around Giant Section 19 (or was it Section 20) in Shah Alam, you can alter shirt/tshirt for a maximum fee of rm15 (rm5 for shortening the length, another rm5 for slimming down the shirt and another rm5 for raising the sleeves and slimming the sleeve) and they do it perfectly.

cant remember the shops name though.

actually you can just go to any tailor and just say that you want to alter ____ but it would be safe to give out specifics on what exactly that you want it to be done and please try it out when its done. If its not what you asked for, ask them to redo it or something. Usually it'll be foc.

btw, isnt there already a thread for this?

from my altering experience, it usually depends on how much work that needs to be done. im not really sure about how much itll cost to alter a straight cut into a slim cut but id say itll roughly cost you around rm25-rm35.. but it also depends on which tailor u go to, if you go to certain tailors itll be very costly, but if youre smart and find the right place you can get it done for rm5 (check the tailoring thread, someone posted about a Mak Cik who slims down jeans for a mere rm5)

P.S: Never altered my jeans from straight cut into slim at a tailor before to be honest, i just do it by myself (whenever i have the time lol)

My alteration stall refuses to do stretch materials. Has anyone found someone who can do it well?
