Yea, 10 cents per liter gua. Not that much also. Cactus 1.5 liter is 1 buck. Yes there is, but not for females I think. I don't think you want to be in a single room, higher price that shared rooms.
What do you do at UTP?

I have done my bachelors in Electrical Engineering.

In what area of Mechanical Engineering do you plan to major?

If you were to take a quick look at Prey, you wouldn't think it was a free tool at all. It just looks so professional. It boasts loads of feature, looks great and works extremely well. Once again the open source community has sown that talent and passion can turn an altruistic project into something truly special. With so many features, Prey is the best value laptop security package around. Get it and use it.

QUOTE(Anonymous99 @ May 7 2013, 05:07 PM)
then which field of engineering is the easiest? civil eng?
(1) You sounded like asking what is the easiest medical degree to earn. Traditionally, the phrase “easy to earn” tend to be associated with “half-hearted” impression. Seriously, do you want a half-hearted doctor tend to your health care? If you are asking which engineering degree is the easiest to earn, then probably you aren't ready for an engineering degree. None of them are really easy to earn.

(2) Engineering degree is a problem-solving intensive, maths intensive, time intensive, and detail-oriented field, where they don't allow for mistakes or “half-baked” work. These people are meticulous because they have to be. They don't accept second best on any job.

(3) It is not difficult solve one- or two-dimensional problems. But things are getting more complicated in multivariate problems. Similarly, managing engineering project successfully is both an art and a science and attempts to control and optimize corporate resources within the constraints of time, cost, and performance.

(4) Take Tensor Calculus in Structural Mechanics (Civil Engineering) for example, even Albert Einstein (1879 – 1955) had learned about the language of tensors with great difficulty, which he used to formulate General Relativity. To summarize, the word “Easyisn't in the engineer's vocabulary. icon_idea.gif

i believe it's not hard in anything if we possess a great passion towards the thing we do
It is a good mindset to begin with. Proceed with your Foundation in Civil Engineering. However, navigating academic life by yourself is not a good idea. Therefore, you must get to know your academic adviser. Contact your adviser whenever you have any questions about your academic life. Your adviser has important information about your course requirements that can help you realize your plans. Advisers can explain why certain courses are required and can identify instructors who will offer the right level of challenge. Confer with your adviser regularly.

Rest assured that Civil Engineering is a manageable undergraduate course. At least, it deals with something tangible where you can see and touch. Mechanics is the oldest and the most highly developed branch of physics. As an important foundation of Civil and Mechanical engineering, its relevance continues to increase as its range of application grows. With your great passion, you will master all the basic concepts and principles of mechanics in this three-volume textbook. icon_rolleyes.gif

Hah! Nice. Automotive.
There are many relevant similarities between Automotive Engineering and Aerospace Engineering. As a branch of vehicle engineering, it incorporates Mechanical system, Electrical system, Electronic system, Safety system, Corrosion prevention, Aerodynamic design, automotive Ergonomics, and Advanced Driver Assistance systems.

Although you are in 2nd year Mechanical Engineering, it’s still a good idea to map out a 2- or 3-year plan for your intended major (Automotive) that lists each of your courses every term until graduation. In this way, you can take control of your academic planning and give yourself the most flexibility toward your Final Year Project (FYP).

There is one area might deserve your attention. Do you know that every year, automobile manufactures spend millions in funding development of cutting edge technologies to keep drivers safe and accident free while operating their vehicles? These technologies are known in the industry as Advanced Driver Assistance Systems and each one is controlled by complex real-time embedded systems.

I wonder if you’ll be inspired, as you watch “Audi Piloted Driving at CES 2013.”

You just gave me a new field to venture in. Thanks. I have an idea now. I sketch it up so that I'll remember it.
YOU ROCK!
Most undergraduate Automotive projects employ Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural simulation and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) for simulating turbulent flows around the vehicles. But I hope you can create a new wave of mind-blowing and extraordinary ideas to impress your FYP adviser and the examiners.

Thus, if you don't mind, would you post your preliminary idea or sketch here? Rest assured that your original concept will only get better as part of the process of stepwise refinement to invent or innovate something meaningful by creating value for people. Modern automotive technology has changed the way we live.

Go to UTP first, pay only the registration fee. Then gather more info on sin chew, then if you intend to go to Nottingham then proceed. You only loose the registration fee.
Give your best shot to convince her to stay.

I'M IN A HUGE DILEMMA.
i just found out that i got a scholarship offer from sin chew daily to study at The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus. i have to reply to them before 20 may. i'm now torn between choices. this scholarship came as a surprise for me. i never thought i would even get it. but i'm afraid that i couldn't maintain the scholarship if i were to accept it, which means I would have to pay for the remaining semesters. i still don't know what's the minimum cgpa though. tried to call but they're unavailable. the registration date for utp is tomorrow. what should i do?
The ultimate choice you have is that, no matter which university you are attending, you can decide your attitude to adopt while you study at there. In addition, a mismatch between you and the university of your choice does not provide an excuse for you not giving it your best shot. However, bear in mind that changing your decision regularly may indicate that the problem is you, not the university. ohmy.gif

If logic, facts, or studies were self-explanatory, an expectation of success and personal fulfillment creates an energy all of its own. Therefore, change what you do only for the best of motives. For example, bravery at the future is a more positive twist than fear with the present. happy.gif

sigh, i declined the offer after much discussion with my parents. so sad larh. sad.gif(((( my parents want me to study at utp coz it's very near to my hometown. easier for me to bla bla bla. but i kinda like it here at utp esp. the library. but still, of course i prefer UNMC. but utp is still good lah. lol
(1) I believe your parents love you so much because they tried to reason out with you. If you think critically, “What does the fact that UTP is very near to your hometown has to do with your intention to study at UNMC with the scholarship offered?hmm.gif

(2) Then your parents might say they want you to stay close to them. Ask your parents further: “What does the fact that staying close to you has to do with my intention to study at UNMC with the scholarship offered?unsure.gif

(3) Unless your parents tell the real reason that sounds acceptable to you, there is no direct causal relationship to show your decision to study at UNMC with the scholarship offered is wrong. icon_rolleyes.gif

(4) Anyhow, if you choose UTP, it's a wonderful decision too because you will have a true good senior Thibs to lend you a helping hand whenever you call for assistance and guidance. blush.gif

Seniors, my lecturer has assignment us our assignments. However, I am not sure of the format of the front page, and what type of citation to use (APA or MLA?).
To play it safe, you must always ask your assignment giver at first. If he/she doesn't specify the standard, then check whether there are rules or standards already existing within your own institution (Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS), on how Academic Assignments or Technical Reports must be written and designed.

Please keep in mind that already existing rules or standards must be followed prior to the tips and rules provided in the MLA style or APA style, or the following standards. If such institutional standards do not exist or do not cover all details, you should use the hints and suggestions in the suggested styles or standards.

ISO 5966:1982
Documentation -- Presentation of scientific and technical reports

ISO 7144:1986
Documentation -- Presentation of theses and similar documents

ISO 690:2010
Information and documentation -- Guidelines for bibliographic references and citations to information resources
