do jpa scholar hav to undergo a interview be4 getting the scholarship..i m not a utpian..juz curious

For mine, I didn't go thru any interview. I'm not sure about now.

I was an ex JPA scholar for PIDN, no interview. younger brother also same scholarship with me, no interview also. So I can assure you, there's no interview required.

Found block F already but seriously la, doesnt the management answer phone calls? Called almost everyone from registrar no one picked up and got forwarded to mailbox

so u choose which one? i m considering UNMC for chem engineering too bcoz i dont get the UTP admission but i m worrying the my parents cant afford the exorbitant fee

sigh, i declined the offer after much discussion with my parents. so sad larh. (((( my parents want me to study at utp coz it's very near to my hometown. easier for me to bla bla bla. but i kinda like it here at utp esp. the library. but still, of course i prefer UNMC. but utp is still good lah. lol

Hi there UTPians!

I wanna ask something...can we opt to study instead of taking the 4 month holiday? My 4 month break is in the next sem, but heard my friend said that I can do this but I'm not sure if it's just from hear say or what. I'm kinda used to studying a whole year, and after an 8 month holiday prior to going into UTP I think I can sacrifice this one.

(Hope there's still a 4 month break next year. If not, oh well. )

I wanna take at least 10 credit hours and then I can relieve A LOT of my credit hours for my second year. I'm seeing killer subjects and I wanna have plenty of focus on those.

(1) I believe your parents love you so much because they tried to reason out with you. If you think critically, “What does the fact that UTP is very near to your hometown has to do with your intention to study at UNMC with the scholarship offered?”

(2) Then your parents might say they want you to stay close to them. Ask your parents further: “What does the fact that staying close to you has to do with my intention to study at UNMC with the scholarship offered?”

(3) Unless your parents tell the real reason that sounds acceptable to you, there is no direct causal relationship to show your decision to study at UNMC with the scholarship offered is wrong.

(4) Anyhow, if you choose UTP, it's a wonderful decision too because you will have a true good senior Thibs to lend you a helping hand whenever you call for assistance and guidance.

Yes, you can. You need write a letter to your Head of Department requesting for short sem and state the reasons as well. Then if it gets approved, refer it to the registra.

Hahaha! Trust me, living near to UTP makes life easier. I enjoy the 40 mins trip home every week. Not to say that I miss home that much but you know, air-cond, puffy beds, tv... ah the life. Lol, I sound like a spoiled brat.

Since you are living a spoiled life, you might spoil your “potential girlfriend” too, when you meet her in UTP this semester.

I know where you're going with this. Btw, if she accepted UTP, she should be in by now. It's already 2 weeks into the semester. By the way, I'm not stalking her or anything. xD!
