Reserved means what ? The letter also say we as well to check our application status from 3rd to 8th of January ..I wonder how many of the applicants is in the reserved list. Are those who fail to join jan intake all automatically transfer to reserved list or MAyBE some of them is already rejected..

are u already an utpian ? haiz.. i dont know how to describe..for me the interview isnt any hard as what i imagined..and i even chosen as a leader among my team members for the case study to give a consensus..yet, im in reserved..i dont know what to say~ tired

I just found out I got accepted into UTP yesterday for January 2013 intake
They offered me my first choice which is Chemical Engineering course.
anyone here got accepted into Chem Eng or any courses?

Haha everyone so excited to come to UTP....

Anyway I'm in 1st sem undergrad PE now. I can tell you honestly, this place isn't that big a deal. See you next year!

UTP do have holidays during public holidays. But don't expect long holidays, as UTP now is using tri-semester system, thus extra holidays are quite few. Even study week is less than 7 days.

Food in UTP is varies from less expensive to moderate. If you eat rice with few dishes probably cost you RM 5 per meal. UTP has Malay, Arab, Western.

Laundry machine RM 2/per use if I'm not mistaken.
Laundry service RM 2 per kg.

Stuff like stationary? Junk Food? UTP has groceries shop inside the campus. But if you have transport probably would be better go to Tesco Seri Iskandar.

Roughly RM 400 ~ RM600 per month is sufficient for average student.

If casual clothes nope. Clothes with UTP branded they do sell.

Yes, in UTP there is also 1 shop that sell computer peripherals (mouse, usb, lan cable). Shops at Village 5 residents.

Only credited cocurriculum courses (ex. gamelan, recreational etc.) are held on weekends.

Classes on weekdays vary with courses. Some courses like English offer night classes (ends at 10PM)

Just some correction 

Washing machine - MYR2.5 per use

Dryer - MYR2.5 per use

Breakfast usually quite cheap. Nasi lemak/mee/mihun/kuetiaw costs MYR2 per plate maximum.

For lunch and dinner nasi campur (nasi+ayam+sayur) costs about MYR3-5 depends on cafeteria.

It is not expensive if you eat inside UTP. Most cafeteria offer reasonable prices to students.

So don't worry too much. Living expenses in UTP are okay
