Just finished Brothers. It's not the normal war movie but rather make you think further instead of action...

Will you kill your team mate in order to survive?  brows.gif

Verdict: This movie was a complete waste of my time although it has a very good review. You spend an hour plus pondering what the hell was it about. A man who has a short term loss of memory who needs to jote down every single action in order to remember anything. The conclusion was rather no shocker. He tattooed every part of his body in order find out who killed his wife. Make sure your remote has the skip function.....  shakehead.gif

Verdict: Set in a weird Japanese town environment, a young fighter looking for revenge for his father and met another mate who share the same objectives. I must say that the storyline can be confusing because of it's background environment but I won't deny that every fighting scenes worth your time. This could be the movie that will make you wanna repeat just because of it's phenomenal fighting scenes!  icon_rolleyes.gif

bro, I have watched Memento many years back in SD version. To me it is quite entertaining, one of the kind movie. the whole movie is kinna like peeling of onion, one layer at a time to reveal the truth eventually. btw, just a friendly reminder, pls try not to reveal the spoiler in the thread sweat.gif , if you need to do so please use color code like "this is a spoiler in color coded" or use spoiler feature, such as
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
so that ppl wants to know the detail of the movie will explore further. as i'm one of those that wouldn't want any info on the plot of the movie before watching them myself blush.gif ....

shocking.gif  fuyoo. Many will envy you. Btw, how's ur experiment been going?

kekeke, if they know that I can only fully enjoy my ht room by watching 1-2 movies over weekend and nothing over weekday then they won't envy me no more sweat.gif just happen that i'm "outstation" to the mill at my hometown for this two days before Deepavali holiday so i can squeeze sometime to enjoy movie when my wife is preparing lunch and waiting for the kids to be back from school tongue.gif To be honest, i left office one hour early before lunch time else i would not have much time left for movie whistling.gif ...

anyway, my ht is so far so good. better than Danny's visit last time but still have room for improvement if you ask me... the thing is i'm the lazy type and try not to move things too many times by myself so i'm happy with what i'm having now. will need to learn REW when i got my external sound card etc... btw, what external sound card you all use for REW? need to get one but not sure which one is good...

Love some of the songs and sad to say our forever young Alan is indeed getting old... The performance is never compete with 20+ yrs back when he was one of the superstar side by side with Leslie Cheung before Andy Lau/Jackie Cheung became superstar...

How about LEGION

The lead actor is Paul Bettany. Somehow it kinna remind me of Priest 2011. Personally I enjoy it but feel like it could somehow make it better. I would give it 6/10 overall.

I come to know JJ Abrams for his TV series, such as Fringe (my all time favorite), Lost, and Undercovers. Will watch Super 8 when I got my hands on it.

Finally finished a couple of harry portter episodes till harry potter and the deathly hallows part 1... now waiting for the finale to be arrived.

Notice that the audio code is kind of soft on HP6. Watched it on reference level and -10db on HP7. Can't wait for the the HP8 brows.gif

Half way thru the old Minority Report, my last watch was in SD format long long time ago...

QUOTE(kc01 @ Dec 17 2011, 01:39 PM)
Finally finish watching the entire Harry Potter series yesterday and it took me a couple of weeks.

Yes, I did watch some of the HP movies in bits and pieces when my kids turn it on TV or DVD over the years, but don't know what is going on and don't understand its characters. The only HP I saw at the cinema was The Half Blood Prince in 2009 when my kid forced me to watch and obviously I don't know head or tail about the story.

Decided to watch in entirety in BD and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought it was a kid's show! Took me 10 years to do it when HP1 was first shown in 2001. Because I watched HP 1 - 7 in 2 weeks, I actually saw how the actor/actresses has grown up in the last 10 years.

One thing I still don't understand. Why the Dark Lord want to kill HP's parents?
*
Same here, I only started watching HP series 2 months ago but I still have Deadly Hallow Part2 outstanding... will try to see if I can get it by X'mas and compolete the whole series... I do enjoy the series, the SQ and PQ and pretty good!! thumbup.gif
