Well, alot had be said about the storyline, and how it cost, this much & much and a\only made so much etc.

What I like to add his is the PQ (Excellent) and SQ... which is so filled with bangs and whistle and LFE.... REFERENCE material!!!

finished watching both yesterday.

wwz seem to have the best bass content of any movies released this year.
and this year we have a lot of those. ironman3, oblivion, olympus has fallen, gi joe but wwz stands out (considerably). plane crash, building explosions, helicopter blades, car crashes, gunfight, machine gun fire. the bass is like knowing + black hawk dawn +  flight of the phoenix all rolled into one.

having watched both at -10 and not hearing any hint of distortion from the subs put up smiles.
movies like wwz, ff6, ironman3 makes it worth spending so much on subs. and looking at the trend of improved bass content in 2013, makes it even more worthwhile to invest in a good low frequency setup capable of handling ulf.

I'm surprise you did not mention Now You See Me!!

lfe and audio mixing have came a long way compared to the past few years.
2013 saw a lot of releases with verry good lfe content. i briefly remember than in 2012 and 2011 movies with good audio mix and great lfe is a dime in a dozen. in 2013 nearly all good movies had great bass in them.

and we still have pacific rim and man of steel to look forward to.
huge robots fighting building sized monsters? yummy.

I only managed to watch a few movies in these few months   

Last week, nearly dance in the room while watching Jacky Cheung 1/2 Century Tour BD    Yesterday night, I watch Zero Dark Thirty. By the time it finished, it's already close to 11.30pm. Dare not crank up the volume that loud as my son was sleeping next door.

Watched Ip Man The Final Fight which was based partially to real life Wing Chun master.

Dialogue is soft with the sound effect and background music overwhelming it.

Just watched WWZ yesterday. In terms of bass, there was really only one spectacular scene which is the grenade explosion around 1hr 5m mark. Machine gun fire is well done too, fairly balanced

Watched Now You See Me last night.

More than a decent flick, fast paced and intriguing. Good acting from Mark (The Hulk) Ruffalo and Mélanie Laurent (nice...). Harrelson and Eisenberg are good too.

Reminiscent of Ocean's series, nice plot in my opinion. Flaws are there, but u only get the chance to analyze them after the movie as the pace never gives u a chance to micro analyze.

Plenty of bass as well. Some deep and some nice sweeps...

PQ - 4.5, AQ - 4.5.  Very good transfer. Hard to find flaws.

Balanced audio track no hint of harshness (can be turned up close to reference...)

Please note that viewers are split 50/50, either you buy/like it or otherwise... No in-betweens...

Man of Steel is a disappointment AQ wise. Just too loud without any dynamic range.
Bass is also filtered and had no impact or slam for me.

Well, you kinda got the skeleton of several tales (no pun intended ). For the meat, maybe more details about

1) What were the frightening experiences at the Bungalow?
2) Any additional information on why the man hanged himself at the "Datuk Kong" or for that matter, the Lady in Red, and the durian tree?
3) Before your aunty, who were the occupant of the house and did they have any history or rearing "baby ghost" (eg Toyol)?

etc, etc...
