Above 50C starting danger..
Is yours MK1059GSM?
*
Oh... so 50 degrees and above is the red danger zone?
From the OpenHardWareMonitor, mine is Toshiba MK7575GSX (the model number is quite nice to remember, ROFL!!!!)
Erm... what does the model number signifies? hmm.gif
Mine the temps mostly lingers around 39-44 like that, when gaming, on the higher side, when idle or watch movies/browsing forums, the lower side...

QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Aug 9 2011, 11:17 PM)
It will disable core 5-8. Hopefully it will reduce the max temps but the graphic performance remain.
*
Oh.... i see... Will try it some times. Damn acid, the crysis 2 is quite addictive ever since i got the nano catalysts counter to work properly with v.1.8 update. But i tried to update v1.9 and it said it cant locate my crysis 2. I install it in D: drive, you install it where? Funny since v1.8 can update and v1.9 cannot... doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

The model number just for the HDD size...

chahupping still cannot detect its hdd temp via hwmonitor/openhardwaremonitor..
*
Oh... i see i see... So i think my temps are okok is it?

Erm, last time i downloaded the version on your signature and it doesnt detect my GPU, but i can detect hdd. Then i go download the latest one (forgot is which version) and it managed to detect everything... Well, now when im using the Intel HD3000, the GPU is not detected. When im using Radeon HD6770M then only the GPU is detected which i think is normal after i changed it to manual switching...

Edit: Whoa!!! Meaning Efalex's HDD is 1TB!? shocking.gif shocking.gif

Yeah. If you use Steam for your gaming, I guess it's fine.
For now it's impossible until the Samsung Spinpoint M8 HN-M101MBB is out as the Toshiba HDD is the 12.7mm thick. Just not sure if this HD can fit in the DVD-ROM slot.
*
Samsung hard disk good? Which manufacturer's hdd is on the upside? So far i always heard people said Toshiba and Hitachi ones are good, Samsung also good? No one's using Seagate and WD... even though they're the biggest player in the hdd market sweat.gif sweat.gif
And recently Hitachi is "eaten" by WD and Samsung is "consumed" by Seagate... so how to see which hdd is good now? rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

Whoa... using so many types... well, my old desktop is using a Seagate 160GB (bought in 2007) and another WD Caviar Green (bought in 2011, wanted Caviar Blue but the store i went dont have...)
and currenty my dv6 is Toshiba 750GB... any difference between the hdd you used sifu lee?

That Samsung HD is the new 2.5" 1TB hard disk with the height of 9.5mm compare to my Toshiba 1TB HD with 12.7mm height.
The thinner one should be able to slot into the DVD-ROM's bay
*
Erm... is there a standard height for the 2.5" hdd? Because even for 3.5" hdd, my 160GB Seagate (5 years old) is slimmer than my 500GB WD Caviar Green (<1 year old)
For laptops, only 9.5mm can fit? 12.7mm cant? Btw, WD released a new 1TB 2.5" with the 9.5mm one, read it on theStar last week...
QUOTE(chahupping @ Aug 11 2011, 01:17 AM)
the performance decrease abit, just some spikes but still enjoyable. smile.gif  yea, my hardware monitor still cant detect hdd temp, but i use hwinfo64 to check.
*
Erm... why your GPU's temp max is 128 degrees????
My eyes nearly dropped when i saw the number... shocking.gif shocking.gif shocking.gif

Standard is 9.5mm
The first entry with highest capacity usually is 12.7mm
and laptop usually design with 9.5mm
If its 0, it will hide HDD temp..
*
Erm... meaning that those first products touted "the first XXX in the world" are of odd dimension and the later ones are back to the standard sizes?

and i am suprise to see a 15 inch lappy to have numpad... lol...

I thought you will only be surprised if you DON'T find any numpad on a 15" sweat.gif
QUOTE(ks_loh11 @ Aug 16 2011, 12:40 PM)
i dun like the direction key for the unit, too small and i can't play game with it, im now using numpad 1235 as my directional key in football games
*
+1 It is hard to navigate especially the up and down buttton. They should have shrink the "0" button from the numpad and the right "shift" button to accommodate the arrow keys....

Wa... then it is not very worth the money.... if it is 6114tx then it would at least be worth it.
Anyway, since you already bought it, then better dont think about other models or price at the moment or the feeling of regretting slowly seeps in you smile.gif
Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to the club!!! rclxms.gif

Wa... just a few days didnt come check this thread is again have such speedy "growth" sweat.gif sweat.gif

Erm guys, wanna ask one thing.
I have installed 7zip on my dv6 but when i assign the formats, the formats arent recognized (.rar, .zip, .part) even though i already enabled it in the option. Then after Acid taught me, i ran the application as admin and assigned the formats and it worked.
however, the shell integration still not working. When i right-click a file, the 7zip option is not there, anyone know what's the reason? icon_question.gif icon_question.gif
