You can disable
1. IaStorIcon <--- Intel Rapid Storage management, not very useful for single HDD.
2. NUSB3Mon <--- will notify when u the USB u plug in is running 3.0
3. IgfxTray <--- will remove Intel graphic in tray, you can access by right click on Desktop
4. HP Quick Launch <-- if you don't use it.
5. HP OSD <--- if you think the OSD is annoying
6. SysTrayApp <---- will remove Beats in traybar but you still can access from Start Menu
7. BTMTrayAgent <---- if you don't use BlueTooth
8. HP Wireless Assistant <---- if you want to use Windows 7 default
9. SnapFish Picture Move <---- this will upload your picture to Snapfish website

better to get hp dv6 auto or manual switchable graphic ? what cooler pad do guys used ?

If you can stretch your budget to get 6114TX, better go for that as it have auto and manual switching + bluray.

I'm using CM U3, pretty good for the price. 3 moveable quick release fans + speed control clip.

i dont require blue rays , it just that .. i thought manual switching is better for gaming mode .

i confused too whether to get 6001 or 6114..
if there is 6114 without beats solo i will certainly go for it..

i have my DV6-6001TX for 3 weeks and i set up my SimplePass fingerprint scanner to sign into Windows 7 at start up.When I started my computer , a large Blue Fingerprint Icon would appear and prompt me to slide my finger over the reader to sign into windows .
This worked well for about 3 weeks but a sudden today this did not happen. When I started up my computer , it opened up Windows 7 and I get an System Icon, My name and a prompt to enter my "password". There is no choice to use the fingerprint scanner. how can i get my scanner back,thanks in advance~

Bcz with that 200 u can get bluray plus support up to 16gb plus auto & manual switchable graphics.

emm..i dont think can free 8GB ram but they free a lot stuff like dvd-r, bag, lock, total 10 china stuff

Nego with them. Tell them most of the seller give free upgrade to 8gb ram or will give 500gb ext hdd.

worth it or not, it depends on you?
- if you are going to play bluray disc on the laptop, then shouldn't the obvious choice to go for 6114TX?
- I think 16gb is overkill for me. AFAIK 8gb is more than enough for normal usage, but if you still want to upgrade to 16gb then shouldn't the obvious choice to go for 6114TX?
- Auto/Manual switching are pretty much the same thing for me I chose manual because I wanted to have more control on my laptop, plus I didnt need the blueray & 16gb support
