i need to dig up the book, but the story was about a dude who woke up after some fierce battle, where townsfolk was slain by demons.

in the mist of reaching some place he bumped into a hermit (wonder who is it, derp) who offer him some sort of short companionship and told about his potential of being something awesome. he was then joined by few dudes (after the hermit left) and met up a great deal of threats along the way

in the other side of the part some new found church was corrupted by demons that disguise himself as a savior, but require huge devotees for some sort of mumble-jumble stuff

so the story ends with hero save the day, but stuck in limbo as he himself turned into some sort of mobile gateway

Hope this decision wont kill the PC version. I hope it wont leave any effect on the PC one even a little bit.
