If Blizzard really wanted to be greedy, they'd charge people a % of the proceeds of the auction. They chose to charge a flat fee, giving the reason that they didn't want to get too caught up in making a profit from the AH.

You know, if it was one criticism, I think everyone would be more than happy to ignore it and continue discussing the game. What you do goes far beyond "one criticism". You rant and whine and complain that things are different and aren't like the good old days.

Sure, Quaz can be annoying, and he's definitely gunning for you, but you have to realize that you're no less annoying than he is. You have an opinion, fine. I hate Bethesda for what they did to Fallout and I think Oblivion is a horribly boring game. Not the most popular of opinions, but I say my piece anyway, and then I move on. I don't spam half the topics here with essentially what is the same complaint, over and over ad infinum vomitum. Every time I see you regurgitate the same few points, I seriously go "not this shit again".

That's not the beta. That's an advertisement. Everyone should have it, God knows I freaked out when I first saw it tho.

You might want to be very careful with this. Do you have a battlenet account? If you do, check there and see if Diablo 3 beta is one of your game. Generally, Blizzard isn't sending out e-mail notifications for this beta, so chances are its a scam e-mail trying to get your details.

If they have it at Kino, I'll probably pick it up, but I'm not paying Amazon to ship the damn thing over here.

You don't have to sign up specifically. Just enable Beta testing for the games you want in your bnet account. Right now its split into the 3 different Blizzard IPs - Warcraft, Starcraft and Diablo.

You'll be fine. Its been stated that there is no region lock. Buy the game, and play on any server you want. US, US, etc.

For the RMAH region lock, I suspect it covers EU and US more than Aus/SEA. If they're gonna region lock Malaysians to Malaysia, the RMAH will basically fail - lack of choice, and lowballers.

The RMAH is supposedly tied to your location. Even if you get a NA CE, its not going to change a thing. Is this info on the first page? It really needs to be. Well, not that anyone read the first post nowadays.

I asked at kino. They don't have it, nor are they importing it, but they are going to do a special order for me, provided their supplier has it. Price would be 35 USD, so slightly more expensive than those who got charged 90 bucks for it.

You need a bnet account. After that, opt in for Blizzard betas. This will give you a download to scan your system specs.

After that its all down to luck. The selection is random, at best.

The fun in D3 is you and friends going up against thousands of demons, undead, what nots. Its not about pwning some random dude. So why is the RMAH going to ruin the game?

This isn't a pvp game. In fact, Blizzard has said they wouldn't even try to balance the pvp.

And the amount of rather... silly... questions popping up on a daily basis. What on earth is with that?
