Blizzard cap Diablo III co-op at 4, no voice-chat at launch
QUOTE Upcoming action-RPG Diablo III from Blizzard won't be allowing more than 4 players together in a game, despite having 5 character classes to choose from. No reason was stated. There won't be any voice-chat support at launch as the studio wants to make sure it works perfectly. There are also no plans for a higher resolution pack of textures - no 'ultra'. Diablo has never been much about the graphics but still it's always nice to have some eye candy. Adding an ultra setting wouldn't make any difference said Community Manager Bashiok. A new skill system is on the way for the beta with the next patch bringing a number of changes to character classes. An expansion to Diablo III is possible, mused Bashiok, and a midnight launch will be supported by a digital download likely available the very moment it's officially released. Does a 4 player co-op limit bother you, video gamer? Do you always play it alone? Source: Strategy Informer |

Public chat channels "will be in Diablo III, barring any catastrophe"
QUOTE You can put down the pitchforks and torches - Blizzard's Community Manager Bashiok has admitted he was "stupid and wrong" to say Diablo III had no public chat channels. Source: Strategy InformerIn the light-hearted dig at himself, Bashiok confirms the public chat will be arriving in an upcoming beta patch for the action-RPG. Only some "catastrophe" could cause them to be removed. No in-game chat!? Burn everything! This maybe the natural and acceptable reaction to hear there'd be no general chat in Diablo III, but there actually is chat after all! "You know how sometimes you say something that's stupid and wrong and then people very reasonably get upset and create a lot of threads and discussions and demands with some pretty reasonable reasons for the thing you said wouldn't happen but then it turns out that you're stupid and wrong and the things you said are completely the opposite of what's actually true?" began Bashiok's apology and clarification post. "Yeah. So that happened." "Public chat channels will be in Diablo III, barring any catastrophe that requires we remove them, because they're already implemented. In fact they'll be in an upcoming beta patch so you'll get to see and play around with them yourselves. I’m not sure I can offer any explanation as to the incorrectness of my statements, except that I believed them to be correct when I made them. I apologize, and I'll strive to not be stupid and wrong in the future." "More info on the chat feature, and others, to come in the weeks ahead. Thanks for sticking with it, and me." |

Blizzard brags Diablo III will have difficulties that are harder-than-hard
QUOTE One of the chief complaints about Diablo III since the beta was launched late last year was that it is kind of easy. However, Blizzard is letting gamers know that it's just the beta - in the full version of Diablo III, players will have a real challenge in the Nightmare, Hell and Inferno difficulties. "You will die a lot" is the main message given by a video just released by the developer, which originally aired during last year's BlizzCon. While Normal difficulty is a fairly casual level of gameplay, things ramp up rather quickly the further down the player goes on the difficulty level selection. It gets to the point where level bosses can take an hour or more to defeat, and players need to be very selective about the gear and skills they select. A focus on cohesive teamwork is also a must. Check out the BlizzCon developer diary in the video below. Diablo III is expected to be released sometime in 2012. Source: Strategy Informer |

Just played Monk earlier.
More fun than playing Barbarian. Weirdly though, monk sounds like a Russian. |

Just managed to get where I was when I played Barbarian.
The skills for monk seems to be more practical compared to barbarian. |
