yeah, its quite rare thats why i got it as soon as i could. But too bad i can only add diablo 2 and the expansion to my blizzard account. The original diablo doesn't have a serial key only uses cd protection lol.

A later patch removed the requirement to have the CD in the drive.

New changes in D3 sucked though. Not liking the description of the item identification change. I'd rather have scrolls that work instantly than to wait for the silly thing to pop open. Or better yet, why not get rid of identifying items altogether a la Titan Quest?

Also not digging the new system of item scrap/sell/townportals. I don't think people really need a break between combat to go back to town to sell loot, when other games like Torchlight have pets that can return to town and sell all unequipped items in their inventory. Also, why should one need to go back to town to scrap unnecessary loot either? Going back to town should be minimized as much as possible. The old system should just be maintained in this regard, with Town Portals reimplemented to be unusable in boss fights, and have a long casting time to minimize abuse.

Downloading the update for Diablo 3 Beta.

Quite a number of files. Shouldn't take too long on Uni-Fi.

Blizzard developers had this looooooong argument with fans about lighting and color.

So quazacolt has enacted emergency procedure for tactical facepalm.

blizzard said though that most of the stuff in their recent announcement concerning changes, were already implemented.

MOST OF IT doh.gif

Most does not mean all, so yeah there will probably be some delay, but not as big as you think :/

the remaining changes i suspect may have to do with itemization stats having to be redone again to account for the stat changes doh.gif and other balances for the different difficulty levels.

also keep in mind the d3 beta you see, is a few iterations behind what the inhouse QA testers have. And their testing the full game, not a Demo D3 beta which consists of only 1/3 of Act 1 doh.gif (With stuff like fmvs n other spoilers removed of course).

Anyway i'm predicting a late march release date doh.gif

I hope I'm wrong, but I think Blizzard is trying to finish up their console version to be release simultaneously with the PC version. PC platform is an open platform, so most companies have no problem shafting it.

Microsoft/Sony on the other hand, would have never allow Blizzard to release the console version later than the PC version.

The isnt even out yet and always postpone. I trust they will come out with another CE when they announce the game will be release. THey wont let go chance of making money la. If market demands it then they wont stupid to not sell it.

Diablo III producer leaves project, Blizzard

user posted imageuser posted image

QUOTE
Blizzard senior producer Steve Parker has announced that his work on Diablo III is over, and he's leaving the company for new opportunities.

The producer made his announcement on Twitter, tweeting, "Hey Twitter, I'm no longer working at Blizzard or on D3. I've had a great 5 years there and those guys are going to do an amazing job with Diablo."

No reason was given for Parker's resignation, though it could be speculated his job is complete since Diablo III is late in development and his departure seems to be amicable.

Parker worked for three years with Liquid Entertainment, which is best known for Battle Realms and most recently released the videogame tie-in to Thor: God of Thunder, before joining Blizzard in 2006.

You can play alone or with co-operatively with others. Its not a MMO.

Unrelated; have they stopped the beta waves or has anyone recently got in? I'm pretty sure I won't get in simply because my beta opt-in profile displays an integrated GPU. Probably due to the stupid optimus crap Nvidia gives me.
