QUOTE(pronester @ Jan 4 2021, 04:40 PM) thanks for the response..i will check again inside the speaker with the amp in it.. anyway i tested the passive with other speaker system and the sound is normal/loud..there shud be some problems inside the amp unit I had the same problem with my A5. Took out the amp, replaced it with Aiyima amp. Still using the original toroid and crossover board. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « No volume control for now, but I have a DAC-AMP so not a problem for me.

QUOTE(pronester @ Jan 4 2021, 05:06 PM) meaning u converted it into passive with external amp (the aiyima)? can show your wiring for this? or maybe just a link for reference will do.. tq Nope, still an active speaker, as the amp is in the speaker. For the amp that I'm using, I connect the output of the amp to the crossover board of the speaker. I cut the crossover board from the original amp board. As for the input, I use the top auxiliary connector to the new amp. Unfortunately I did not take any pictures of my amp replacement. But you could refer to this thread for the general idea.

QUOTE(pronester @ Jan 4 2021, 10:09 PM) ok thanks for the info bro..appreciate it..at least i can look at the amp area very closely...my 1st tot is the other part of the board (i think the small dac board)....if i have the time, i'm thinking of replacing all the ics/caps (tda7294,ka7805 and etc) if that will do any good..LOL I think that's the preamp board. It could be it that causes the problem. I cant find other 3rd party that will fit in the speaker.
