equivalent value means the value of the phone when u bought it new.  e.g desire hd when new i bought RM2099, after 3 years if it spoiled and HTC doesn't has any spare parts left and it can't be repaired, SENQ will replace your desire HD with something similarly priced (at RM2099) at that time

there is no such thing....they wont replace a phone which is cost rm2099 at that time.pls dont give out wrong information

they will only replace back the value after 3/5 years. example, after 3 year the phone market value its rm1k then they will only replace back a phone that has market value of rm1k

there is NO rm2099!

i believe the debate here is the Market Price. Is it the price at the time of purchase, or during the time of claims? using sgs2 as example, purchase time is rm2099. 4 yrs later, it could only be worth rm100.

i dono if the one i read last time from their policy issit same as the one u paste..the item insure not incl mobile phone, camera, and notebook.. hmm.gif if the all risk policy incl this, not bad also..then not need worry robbed nod.gif rclxms.gif

not exceeding can also mean if after 2 yrs..the phone still worth rm1599 lets say ... but you purchase at rm2099.. so they still got right to pay you any amount they decided or base on market value.. .. decision is still up to them...this is still valid...am i right? some more same spec thing after 1 yr will go cheaper also..technology thing never stop improving.. whistling.gif

I thinking the below senq policy is only their word and i believed the price if replaced will be only during the time of claims as i dont thinks senq will replaced full price of the item u purchased during that time.

My understanding. Assuming original price paid 2 years ago was RM2000 for a phone with 5megapixel camera.

They either give you a new phone with similar feature, aka 5 megapixel camera, or RM2000. Whichever is cheaper to Senheng and knowing 5megapixel camera phone is now only RM500, they will give you this for sure.

So. Buy SGS2 now. After 2 years, 'accidentally' drop it and have it run over by a lorry. Claim.

Good?

1) yes it will be locked and released slowly after u make the payment
Check with your credit card company whether there is any up front charges that you may have to pay for the installment plan. Usually there is and sometimes the retailers will absorb and sometime it is in the small print, ie it will appear in your statement later.

and small appliance incl mobile phone?  hmm.gif and up to 2 yrs only...so far as i know, this only apply for electrical item like fan, blender etc..  hmm.gif the repair value same like your value of your hp.. lets say 2k your hp cost...so if you repair 1st time cost rm250..it will deduct from this allocated amount until zero.... then the next yr, you will get a new 2k value of repair cost again. the amount insured stated in the receipt printed from senQ... and this apply to some medical insurance...

Go call SenQ to confirmed. One to one replacement on the 2nd and 3rd year. For your SGS2 I believe you still get a replacement of the same value during the 3rd year. After the 3 year, you don't even get RM1 from SenQ - period cover over rclxm9.gif

If they don't honour the one to one replacement policy (which I forsee they will honour), I'll take them to Consumer Tribunal.

Carrefour honoured their one to one replacement policy.

Often company buys some insurance from some insurance company. So in effect, you will be claiming from that insurance company with SenQ acting merely as in between. Probably the same case here with SenQ.

That's right from their brochure their insurer is Multi-Purpose Insurans Berhad. Usually it is the insurance company that is interest to tap this niche business and SenQ just happy to be their business partner.

For Carrefour the replacement warranty I took from them is/was insured with Jerneh Insurance.

the first yr covered by manufacturer ..2nd yr is for senq's plus one member.. which called plus one service contract if i not mistaken.. so i think what i get from my fren who work there should be correct..1 to 1 is another policy for small appliances as stated in their policy already.. if you go look at senq website, small appliances is as below:

http://www.senheng.com.my/senq/products.as...mall+Appliances

Plus one service contract:
http://www.senheng.com.my/senq/popup_plus1svc.htm

The repair and replacement costs of the component(s) or part(s) (including labour charges) or in total for all claims in the aggregate is limited up to the Retail Purchase Price of the Product.
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary stated above, if any cost of repair or aggregate of repairs is likely to exceed the prevailing retail price of the Product, then a replacement item of the same Product or a product of like functionality, will be offered in settlement and Coverage under that PlusOne Service Contract will prematurely terminate on the date that the product was replaced.
The full costs of repairs of Product including parts, replacement costs, labour and transport costs will be borne by Insurer under the provisions of the Policy.
