Nope the Huawei or CSL or whatever company uses this FB400 have the same QC, all the phone comes from Foxconn, period.

Just flashed the MIUI, everything I need works except for camera. Tj_style say the rear camera did work but the problem is the front cam, which for whatever reason the camera apps use it for default. It resemble iOS too much but far more customisable, I love how it integrates a lot of setting in notification so I don't have to navigate in the menu too much just to change something like brightness. Talking about brightness, it goes lower than any other ROM too which is good for viewing it late at night and complete darkness

anyone have compared this with NEW XPERIA MINI PRO?

both look awesome but XPERIA MINI PRO comes with bravia engine and LED-Backlit .
which one should i get

xperia mini is HVGA (HalfVGA 480x320) where mi410 is WVGA (WideVGA 800x600) , so u decide which has better view ?

xperia = mi300

Display has major role over qwerty pad, because Display is the part you'll look all the time

still people are saying if it's from huawei then it's gonna have better QC. i even read someone says that if there's FB400 branded as CSL and another FB400 branded as HTC then the HTC will have better build quality.

mind boggling as i don't think foxconn will change their manufacturing lines to cater for different models of FB400 for CSL and modify the line for another variant of FB400 for HTC.

but yeah, people do have lots of opinion. more so in an internet forum filled with teenagers and kids.

Yup, this is the only forum where some n00b post is being taken into consideration even when senior member or someone with Elite tags saying otherwise. I have been on numerous discussion board regarding FB400, all this phone no matter where they came from exhibit similar manufacturing 'defects' such as dust in front camera and 4 soft pad light leakage on the screen

over time i noticed that i cant seem to connect to wifi via the power control widget, i have to go all the way to settings then only i can connect to wifi,

another thing is that i notice that the phone runs hotter when im using this rom compared to when im using wellcom's rom overclocked to 1.5ghz

My phone took forever to connect to a wifi network. Must set the ip address manually. Anyone can help or maybe suggest an app to solve it.

on rc2?
my 2nd go at rc2 got bitten by the wifi bug after i did the supercharger script. my first flash didn't get the wifi bug even after supercharged. didn't know where i did wrong but something goes wrong after rc1 -> rc2 -> supercharger -> wifi bug when the first flash i didn't get it.

didn't try to find the culprit since i'm running on wellcom a99 2.2.2 froyo right now. keyboard feels snappier with froyo. will try the MIUI in the next couple of week to feel the keyboard performance.

yeah on rc2. my share wifi worked for the first time but the next time i try , it was on but my laptop cant see it. I suspect it was a bug. Well, i dun care much about the keyboard since it was fine if type in horizontal.
can we use ext4 file system instead of fat32 coz i heard we can. If can, can i format my sd card using eg. Ubuntu?

u must root 1st
then go to etc/gps.conf
edit with text editor and put this line ( remove the europe or waht ever it has )

didn't have anything better to do so i flashed to MIUI.

it's so freaking awesome. keyboard response is so much better now. even the stock android keyboard that comes with the MIUI is awesome.

have to load all my normal applications and contacts and calendars and emails and notes to see if there's any degradation in touchscreen performance.
but initial performance is very good. verry verry good.

i don't use GPS and camera so i'm all good hehee

the more i try MIUI, the more i like it.

it feels like a new phone with all the eye candy. and i tried supercharging it and it feels a bit snappier than before. i'm liking every minute of MIUI hehe

wanna ask.. what is supercharging ?
how to do it?

supercharging is using the supercharge script found in xda forums.it improves memory management and pefformance of a lot of android system.
