hi guys, im planning to get this phone as they are offering quite amazing price at rm500++ at pertama complex. the unit comes with 2.3.4 gingerbread. i would like to know which custom ROM is the most stable and how i can install that. also would like to know about the ICS development for this model.

that's where you should head. at the moment we have the latest 2.6.35.7 kernel from Sharp, or if you prefer the original which is .32.9 is fine as well - saying this cuz I've had issues on some roms on .35.7 kernel..

.32.9 kernel running roms id say zuk's 2.4.20 MIUI if u like miui, otherwise maclite is pretty neat and stable, but very stock.

.35.7 is the kernel for ICS AOKP roms and some non ICS customs as well, so far everyone is flocking towards the modified sharp rom cuz its an OC-able modified stock rom. great batt life and 99% functions. the other 1% unconfirmed is HDMI, which I m considering to try.

its the screen im after lol! galaxy S is known for its strengths in gaming despite being a single core device haha..

right now it's probably the most worth it galaxy to buy if you are on a tight budget. but then seeing that digi just launched pre-order galaxy S3 last night for only 999, 24 x 83/mth.. tough decision man lol! add few hundred can get S3

if you are on digi...then s3 definitely the best choice bro...but thats not the case for me as i am tied up with celcom contract till march 2013

Guys, I've been using MIUI 1.11.11 (Android 2.3.7) since last December, lately it's started to hang and reboot during browsing.
Can you recommend a better ROM? I'm not into gaming, mostly use my mi410 to surf, emails and I'm on 3g 24/7.
Hope you can recommend and show me the steps to be taken in details. I'll have to do this in CC as my laptop are gone already. Much better if someone around ampang or kl are kind to do for me :-)

i recommend you use sharp rom or rc2...it's quite nice on battery and quite few auto reboot and quite stable...
just get the rom from xda developers ideos x6 and all the steps are there..here are the links

hi everyone, i been considering to buy this phone as my first android phone to replace my faulty nokia
so is it ok for me?
any shop in lowyat carry this stock?

the phone is quite good but it's far from perfect
if you want to use it casually and do everyday task then it's ok
but if you are a hardcore gamer then you better get s2 or other high end...
been 6 months using the phone and i felt it great for surfing net,movies and other stuff
i don't know whether the rom i'm using or the phone,the back button would occasionally becomes unresponsive for a while..
but i would recommend you use other stock rom than the stock csl..
you could check pda expert lowyat but i bought it from a shop with csl board on top of it..
the current price i'm not sure but back then i bought it for RM600

I just got a unit and enjoying the experience. I'm a smartphone noob so there's lots i have yet to discover.

Can someone show me how i can access the SD card from my desktop pc? I connected the 410 to my desktop using the micro-USB cable. In explorer, I could only see directory named "RUT" ... that's the onboard memory, not the SD card?

Another thing is battery consumption. I installed Easy Battery Saver (super saving mode) but the battery still lasts less than half a day even on standby mode most of the time. Can someone explain what drains the batteries? Any tips to make it last longer is appreciated

and a question, i'm on miui 2.3.9 now,if i wanna flash to the ics 4.0 rom,refer to the instructions,i need to flash to rc3 rom/sharp rom to get the .35 kernel.
before going to rc3,do i need to flash to rc1 first then rc3? or directly from miui to RC3 then to ics4.0? or from miui to sharp rom then ics 4.0 ?

Not sure whether you did this, but you have to enable storage on your phone before you can access the sd card in your phone.

Try flashing a custom rom, I am using Maclite and the battery life is quite good, quite minimal usage can last about 2-3 days. RC2 fares well too, but I notice a bit more of battery consumption though.

You can flash directly to RC3, no matter where you are from, same goes to RC1 too because there are in .nb0 file and it will flash your kernel automatically using SUT.

So go to RC3 first then flash the zip file to ICS4.0

The apps is quite useless to be frank..
you should use another stock rom such as Welcom ROM but it is version 2.2 you could try step-by step guide at 1st page...
stock CSL is really a battery drainer...if not try to do battery calibration i don't know if that helps or not...get the battery calibration app from the Google Play Store..
about the sd card if i'm not mistaken when you connect the cable to your phone you should get a notification and then there is an option to read the sd card..
