I have posted performance tweaks for CM7.2 before. This is what I do to it.

If you wanted more performance go to Setting > CyanogenMod setting and uncheck 'Enable Surface Dithering' and check 'Use 16bit transparency' and 'Allow purging of assets' and reboot. With this setting the system is much smoother and better transition and response at low speeds under 500MHz

can you enter recovery mode? turn off phone ( in your case take out battery then put it back), press power+volume up+volume down. restore your backup rom, or try clear dalvik cache

are u experiencing any low volume on incoming calls? any other flaws to mention? am considering flashing to 7.2 with the new kernel because my friend's sgs2 had better batt life on 2.6.35.7 compared to his prev kernel from prev firmware update.

also bcuz miui has persisting kernel wakelocks like mmc0,1,2.. bad battery drain.

my restarts have been less frequent, n i wud rly recommend cacingkalung's latest miui despite my issues with the rom. love the UI n statusbar.

google xda betterbatterystats, its an app. follow the forum there and they discuss their wakelocks from posting their dump logs. their batt life there some damn sick.. only 2% drop after 12 hrs x.x

yea the low incoming call issues has been stated at the xda cm7.2 page...i didn't really bother about that...just make it a habit when pick up calls i press volume- and then volume + then the volume chged to normal...with this rom i also got a bit more random reboot like 2-3 times a week...and others are the common problem with this phone like when it's warm the back button is less responsive

wht is the price for this version?

Mine also the back button less responsive when the phone temperature increasing...but its hard to press when browsing only...

Yours also same or how?...

Mine occurs random but mostly when browsing but rarely when playing games

having camera issue on miui 2.3.9 black themed
cant even connect to the camera , any solutions??
or flash back to stock rom will help??

my cm7.2 experience with edowar has been pretty awesome, except when gaming, abit sucky on Temple Run lolol.


erm, cacingkalung? his rom is fine, I flashed his latest 2.4.6 I think.. his rom and edo's cm7 are one of the more stable ones, for .6.32.9 kernel roms i prefer cacing's and edo's for .35.7 one.

anyone use themes via theme chooser? I found an awesome theme ICE9 that looks ICS but the headers for settings dont change according to the theme ._. still gingerbread size and font, not even ICS roboto font ._.

I didn't use edowar's CM7
i use yashwantsingh one and playing temple run is okay for me only got a little fps drop sometimes but still highly playable

yash's build has low incoming call prob right? lol.. maybe if i can find an audio lib.zip file to fix it then im good, edo's doesnt have that issue but my frames in temple run is rly killing me..

hey najmods, do u know how i can make this device detect and connect to an ad-hoc wifi-network?

Have you tried the latest update?
Maybe that will reduce it..
i just updated and the fps drop in temple run is almost none compared to the previous update which is quite laggy to me
