b) Eligible Customer who performs a successful outward transfer using DuitNow on their Conventional CASA or Islamic CASA during the campaign period [Daily Angpow Cashback Criteria] [“Successful Eligible Customer”]
3. DuitNow campaign offers Daily Double Angpow Cashback Rewards to Eligible Customer during the Campaign Period.
4. Daily Angpow worth double the DuitNow amount transacted for the day for outward transfer using DuitNow will be offered to 12 lucky customers on daily basis.
5. 12 Daily Angpow will be available for 32 days of the campaign period (day 1 to day 32 from the campaign launch date).
6. Daily Angpow capped for 12 customers daily with a maximum capped cashback amount of RM100.
7. Each client can only win 1 Angpow daily during the campaign.
8. Total winners capped at 384 customers for the campaign period.
9. Cashback will be credited to customers CASA account within 60 days after the campaign ended
10. For Islamic CASA, it is only applicable for Standard Chartered Saadiq Berhad Tawarruq-based CASA products.

CIMB says instant funds transfers on banking website temporarily disabled

CIMB users will not be able to instantly transfer funds through its website for an indeterminate period, due to issues caused by unusually high site traffic.

“We apologise to our customers for the interruption to the IBFT/Instant Transfer service on CIMB Clicks. Due to the unusually high traffic that we are currently experiencing, we have temporarily disabled the IBFT/Instant Transfer function,” CIMB said in a statement to LifestyleTech.

IBFT refers to Instant Bank Funds Transfer, which enables an immediate transfer of funds between different banks, as opposed to Inter Bank Giro (IBG) which can take up to several working days to complete a transaction.

According to its maintenance page, the service would be down “until further notice”.

Maybank expects 1.7 million e-Angpao transactions this CNY



KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 8): Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) is expecting about 1.7 million e-Angpao transactions worth over RM60 million to be conducted by customers during the Chinese New Year festive season this year.

Group chief executive officer (Community Financial Services) Datuk John Chong said in light of the pandemic, the e-Angpao service provides customers who are unable to meet with their families a safe and convenient way to participate in the cherished tradition.

“We hope that the e-Angpao will be able to give them a sense of normalcy and a chance to bond with their family members despite having to physically distance themselves to keep everyone safe,” he said.

The bank said it had received an encouraging response to its e-Angpao service in 2020, where the number of transactions increased to 840,000.

It added that the e-Angpao service is expected to grow in 2021 as more customers become comfortable with the notion of sending e-Angpao during Chinese New Year, especially in the new normal.

Maybank customers can send e-Angpao to family and friends by clicking on the e-Angpao icon exclusively on the all-new app, MAE by Maybank2u, from today (Feb 8) until Mar 7.
