Hmm.. shouldn't these items being a gift from your parents or in laws? I'm not well versed with Chinese custom but my parents bought me two sets of tableware from Aussino when I got married.

Now, I moved to a new house, my parents also bought me another set of tableware during the house-warming ceremony. Besides the tableware, they also bought two plants, a pack of rice and a bottle of oil. They said it's Chinese custom to wish one for adequate wealth and health.
