Hi,

It seems that Dr Mak is badly remarked. But nevertheless, thanks for providing the link,it is very useful as I notice there are many people who shared the same problem as me.

Hi Cheno,

Hahhaha,Im indeed skinny and below BMI..
Thats even a bigger problem as slim PCOS is more difficult to conceive...

I wish someone can just give me the miracle.

oh, rarely find a skinny person wit pcos.. ermm i'm a pcos too, i didnot take any fertility treatment, i got pregnant naturally using bbt, At first, my gynae give me polygluton to regulate my priod, but then it doesnt really work with me, i stop taking polygluton then i proceed with malay traditional jamu, my priod began to be regular, i didnot really loose any weight sleep.gif and i think its a miracle for me to get pregnant on our first try for this year, i've been married for 3years now.

you have been TTC for 6 months rite, just need to be patience, bcoz it is still early, but you can still consult your gynae about this.

i've google Prof. Doc Hamid Arhsad for you -->http://www.hamidarshat.com/index.php

try making an appointment with him..

Hey there,

my friend was recently diagnosed with PCOS... funny thing was she visited 2 'quite famous' gynaes and they failed to diagnose it. It wasn't until she visited Dr Dev Menon in Tropicana Medical Centre that she was correctly diagnosed. The doc is recommending her to do a laproscopy to get the problem over and done with.

He further said can have 3 options - medication, injection or the surgery. And he was very very nice and chatty, taking his time to explain from head to toe on what to expect. I was there, so I can bear witness to his helpfulness and professionalism.

I don't have his number, but if you google Tropicana Medical Centre or Assunta (his other consultation hospital), you'll be able to find him. Hope this helps!

And don't worry, Dr Menon says PCOS is easily treatable and once treated, provided you don't have other problems like partner's sperm count, etc.. getting pregnanct within 6 months after that should be no problem. =)

Hi michelle.

Please do not give up. Also, did you get ur husband condition check as well ?
PCOS might have less chances of conception but it also depends on both husband and wife.

Thanks for sharing the story,i too saw a few doctor before and non of them see whats the problem...
yeah quite a number suggested that i shud see Dr Dev Menon.
But i have a problem,if doing laparoscpy is the most effective way , i would have seen him already.
Thing is i just change my job, i dont think it would be nice for me to take such a long mc. sad.gif

he will examine both husband and wife
then he suggest either IUI or IVF
so it's up to you to do either one

my frenz already done 2 IUI both failed (they do it on another clinic)
then they try IVF Dr Prasanth
since the Doc suggest them to do IVF coz of their age already 30++
..now already 3 months pregnant

I am also PCOS. I was not able to get pregnant after married for 2yrs and i did laparoscopy. Doctor said that my fimbrae is damaged and there is no way that i can conceive in a normal way and my hubby sperms count is also very low. Fimbrae is the fine hair in the falopian tube that helps the eggs to move. Even if i get pregnant it will be etopic pregnancy. Doctor suggested me to go for IVF but i cant afford it.

Then I went to see a chinese doctor in Cheras Dr Kamal Quek for many times but still result. I have a friend recommended me to try Elken Venus. I took one box and then stop awhile later I bought another box from some online seller at a cheaper price. While taking the supplement i went for the traditional rawatan rahim. After around 4-5 urut i found myself pregnant. I think if u can find a good traditional masseur it really helps but firstly u have to make sure that ur body is strong. U must consume lots of chinese herbs to strenghten ur inner health.

Am so envy!! wub.gif
Cant afford to do laparoscopy at the moment, just change job.It wouldnt be nice for me to take long mc.
My cousin who was TTC for the last 10 yr finally conceived with a baby boy under TMC Thung Shin.
So she recommend me to give it a try.my 2nd visit to her last Sat,she gave me lots of herbs to normalize my period since I dont usually have them naturally.
Keeping finger crossed hopefully it will work..gotta see her again this coming sat.

Can you give me more details of the masseur...

So glad to hear your from you. notworthy.gif rclxm9.gif

Hi..just sharing my experience..

last 2 month i went to KPJ, to check why i have irregular period. Doc suspected that i have PCOS but can't see anything maybe due to low resolution ultrasound machine.

So she suggested me to do blood test. I did. So the result came out, doc said i have imbalance hormone and there's a sign of PCOS.

She gave me hormone pill to regulate my period, after that will start the fertility treatment. But then i can't be pregnant for 4-6months... sad.gif

After a lot of thinking, i went for second opinion, Dato' Dr Siti in SJMC. Actually she's my doc when i did my myomectomy to remove fibroids 2yrs ago.

i wait for 1 month to make appointment with her... shocking.gif in the time being, i din't take any hormone pills from KPJ.

When the day comes, scan...and i can see clearly my ovary full with cyst..both ovaries. Same picture I've googled. huhu. shocking.gif

Dr Siti said i don't need to take the hormone pills if really want to conceive. She gave clomid for 2 cycles. This month will try the clomid. Waiting for my period now tongue.gif

FYI, i'm 27 yrs old and been married for 8 months now.

and yes.. i start healthy diet and do lot of exercise now ...now 61kg, 161cm...last two yrs im only 50kg

good luck all...just stay positive

Dear All,

I noticed some of the comments here are from years ago.
So, how have you all fared? Are you enjoying parenthood already so far?

My wife was diagnosed with PCOS only after the 2nd failed pregnancy.
So u see my reality was far different from what were shared here.
Anyone can share me their success stories to lift up a burdened spirit?
