Shouldnt be a problem i guess hmm.gif

Since Ubuntu has tons of support on hardware hmm.gif

Just incase , after you have installed it , check for any drivers needed

According to the specs, there shouldn't any problem. Everything should work out of the box.

The NVIDIA stack in Ubuntu uses the open-source driver and can usually do basic stuff such as giving desktop composition work out of the box. But if you have needs for more than just that then go to the NVIDIA"s website and download the driver from there.

Just remember to know and understand some pretty basic terminal (command line/prompt for you Windows users) commands because in most cases you'll want to start troubleshooting any failures. 4 months shouldn't take you long, I went through the same cycle whistling.gif

Why dont you dual-booting ?
It more good , you can use linux to mess up and try new stuff .
Meanwhile windows keep it for play game or use some software that not support in linux ..

Ubuntu come with wubi which able to dual-boot without creating new partition for it , but i heard many said no good :3. . .
[Yea kinda troublesome when the folder corrupted sleep.gif" , cannot boot into the linux+cannot delete the folder T_T]

Well , one thing i know bout Wubi is , if your Windows did not shutdown properly , there are chances that your Linux part will not boot properly or it does not boot at all

Might be a bug in the past but idk whether it is fixed

Before getting started with any linux distro , do some reading on your choice of distro laugh.gif

Nowaday, Linux (whether Fedora, Ubutu, Mandrival..etc) work on all type of hardware...laptop and PC.

Even more, take an example say you have an Acer laptop and a HP laptop.
You install Linux in HP laptop, after that take out the harddisk from HP laptop and insert it into Acer laptop.
The Linux operating system can boot on Acer without any problem.
