erhhh.. 50 pax but with rm1500 budget i would say hmmm quite hard to get a place.. even if you do a private party at home also quite economical.

just my 2 cents..

For that budget, I think it is best if you find a venue and get catering yourself. If your house can house the 50 guest, might as well have it at home or another friend's home which can accomodate. Get catering for 40 pax with with a RM25.00 per pax (usually enough) and the rest get a satay caterer and get a few crates of beer (if needed) and drinks submerged in cold ice water. Rent a few tables or maybe tents. With a budget like that, you have to be innovative. smile.gif

Unless your guest are all big eaters, the food is not important but the event is. icon_rolleyes.gif

You can always rent those service apartment/hotel kinda place. Then have the party there. Food wise, either catering or get your mom to cook and bring up to the apartment. At least you have a private place (without your parents) to party. Rent should be around 800++.

I actually know of this service apartment where the guy rents out either a studio unit or a 3BR unit for parties. It's located in Plaza Damas, Sri Hartamas. My Mom was telling me about it because her friends had parties there (a lot of bridal showers, hens nights, etc.) and she said it was super nice because it has a damn awesome view of KLCC, Genting, etc.

I can't remember the name of the place or how much but if you want, PM me and I can get you the details.

Guys, my friends want to celebrate a birthday and wants to throw a birthday party at a place where we can bring food and hang out and not be disturbed with management because the noise will be loud (I know this is difficult to achieve).

However, they are deciding where to go as they do not have any idea where to do it yet.

Any of you guys can share which places have good rates for 1 night and have ample space to cater to approximately 30 people? Looking around KL and PJ area and budget is around 1k.

Thank you very much in advanced.
