guys, help me how to upgrade to gingerbread?

this is my first time using android or any smartphone.. b4 this onli use nokia cikai one..

googled it and found out need to use these odin software etc.. i'm sure there must be an official release for ace which easier to update

upgraded to gingerbread..

but i forgot to backup my papago apps..

here wut are the improvements i realize :
a. improve battery life (as expected from GB)
b. performance increase.. how much i'm not sure
c. better typing.. easier to type.. and increase chances of hitting the right letter

just go to the nearest samsung centre and ask them to upgrade for u.. free of charge!
